The ref push was horrible, he gave Tackett a drag out. And I thought if you fell back for a sub it wouldn’t be considered a takedown. Sometimes I wonder if ADCC knows it’s own rules…
The ref push was the worst thing I have seen in awhile, the takedown points I feel like are arguably fair because tackett had the single and you should not be able to jump guillotine every time someone is halfway to a takedown
The ref shove was bad. But I was shoving him off me with an elbow pass at the same time. So it looked worse than it was (from my perspective)
The falling back on a sub rule, only counts with sweeps.
A takedown is a takedown regardless of a submission in play

I feel like Rau was winning every technical battle and leg entanglement on the ground, only mistake was to try to wrestle with the younger better wrestler. What a way to lose, going for a guillotine results in a takedown. Guardplay is sooo smooth

Mo, why was Tackett given 2 points at 3:36? Jason jumped into a guillotine from the front headlock, and when he lost the sub attempt, Tackett was awarded a takedown?
@@m.tirmizi1773that is the right call . If someone is taken down and in a submission the timer stops . Once they escape the threat of a submission and hold them for 3 seconds they get their points

Takedown
In ADCC ruleset, no takedown points until the submission threat is over. You'll notice he didn't get the point until he got his head out of the guillotine. Hope that helps.

I wonder if it was just bad timing for Jason coming up to wrestle right as the points came in at 3 minutes in. I don’t think anyone was giving him warning of the time until points and he saw an opportunity to wrestle. It think if he had known points were about to come in he would have stayed seated and the result could have been very different.
Two people shouted 30 and 20 seconds before points. Maybe he was just zoned in and didn’t hear. Who knows?
