Thousands of bunker fish underwater view at Long Beach Long Island New York

It is the end of fall and winter is about to begin
Most fish species went offshore to warmer water while the bunker fish prefer to stick around a little more
Bunker fish swim in school and feed on planktons
They filter out the planktons by opening and closing their mouth as you can see in the video
They are often chased by bigger fish like blue fish and stripers as well as whales in the ocean
The clarity of the water is less than perfect so just bear with me
