This is absolutely beautiful. Each part to the song represents Asgore's true nature; he is someone that doesn't want to kill you, but he believes he has to for the good of his people. The first section captures his grief, him bracing himself for the sixth murder he has to commit for the greater good. He doesn't want to do this, but he has no choice. The second section captures the battle itself, undertones of his sadness still present while he tries to convince himself he's doing the right thing. He's doing the right thing, yet he still holds back in battle against you. He can't give it his all, because in his heart he knows you're innocent and he is murdering a child. The third and final section, in my opinion, is by far the most powerful. The lone organ sounds like that you would hear at a funeral, sorrowful but still beautiful. And for Asgore, it captures the feeling of his final moments, when he would feel regret and guilt for everything he's done. In the end you still gave him mercy, though you knew he was trying to kill you. Absolutely marvelous work. Your music is very inspiring.
*Seventh* and I dunno if any of the Six made it to Asgore before Frisk did. Fan consensus is that the respective kids died at or near where their weapons were found by Frisk. Like I can see the owner of the gun dying at the dump instead, since the gun was taken by Bratty & Catty, but another could have died somewhere in Waterfall and their weapon wound up with Gerson afterward.

And that's fan consensus. Ultimately, monsters killed innocent children and it was Asgore's order. He waged war on the humans, and that also meant that monsters were to murder the children that fell. He still has blood on his hands, so to speak. Frisk may have been the only one to have actually made it to him in person.
after neut kill route, When you try to do the pacifist, you cant spare him. Once you do, he will kill himself thinking he doesnt deserve it and cant handle the pain anymore.... ;-;

Which was a very fine balance between somber reflection and epic confrontation. Another one for the playlist.

That was amazing! The organ bit at the end really put it over the top for me. It had a Phantom of the Opera feel to it, and it wrapped the song up so nicely. It just gave it a note of finality, like I could see the battle ending and Asgore cradling Frisk's body, crying over the child he wished he didn't have to kill.
