just been backpacking down through the Baltics, Poland and into Ukraine. so much to see and do in this part of the world....and without 'breaking the bank' ! happy travels :)
Ruthenian dumplings are made of potatoes, onions and curd. This is a traditional Polish taste. He brought them from Ruthenia to the crown of St. Jacek Odrowąż in the 12th century. Ruthenia is commonly confused with Russia. This is a great historical mistake. Ruthenia (today western Ukraine) was part of Poland for nearly 1000 years.
We all share so much and have different values with common knowledge. We all could be much happier with no aggressive neighbors. But that won't stop us from living our life to the fullest.

Hello guys, I hope you had a fantastic time in my town. Szczecin has pleanty interesting places to explore and obviously it's still quite cheap. Take care on your next journey.
Dumplings - every restaurant has a different recipe and tastes different, my favorite ones are with cheese and blueberries with sour cream, these are eaten like dessert and watch out for teeth and tongue turning purple. My favorite Polish beers are Tyskie, Lech, and if you like porter, Baltic is better than English. A little caution in Poland you can't drink alcohol in public places only within restaurants or designated places, usually fenced. In large cities, Poles speak English less in small towns, although young people also understand English. Traditional Polish food is not dumplings, although it is known and associated with Poland, but we don't eat it every day, it will be more like a pork chop with potatoes and salad, it is good with red beetroot or pickled cucumber. In the summer, my favorite dish is new potatoes with scrambled eggs and chilled kefir or buttermilk. I don't know if you know what buttermilk or kefir is? . I am glad that you feel good and safe in Poland - good luck in further exploring my country.😄
@@BB.Beyond.Borders Hard to tell cuz every one has different taste, but IMO the best food are polish sausages can't go wrong with kiełbasa. Gołąbki are also awesome. BTW The best Polish food you don't find in restaurants BUT in Bar mleczny means Milkbar but has nothing to do with that, in Bar mleczny you get traditional polish food made by polish Babcia=Granny, you cant get better Bang for the buck. If they don't speak a lick of English, your at the right place. So do yourself a favor & check out a Bar Mleczny.
Cool vlog. And as said as it seems I am a Polish guy living in the UK who sometimes comes across people on TH-cam visiting Poland. You two have a great thing going on :)
Hi to both of You 🙂🙂🙂 Thank You for posting nice videos about my country Poland 🙂🙂🙂 I am watching Your videos in mobile so I am using my headphones and.....that beeeeeeep breaks can be very annoying, sometimes few times in one minute......beeeep! 😂 Pozdrowienia z Polski 🙂❤️🙂
It's fun to watch you guys. If you ever want to return to Poland and, for example, visit the Upper Silesia region, I, along with my wife, would be happy to show you around. 😉😉
Always feeling leisure in Szczecin, for some reason. Puszcza Augustowska - Polish Shire, as I call it, is possibly most desolate place in Poland, void of tourist. Yet stuff of dreams, I feel like in fairytale being there. Hidden Gem, and King's Forest since 1500s, richest king of Poland Sigismund August. Very North East corner of Poland, go deep inside the forest, may use an Augustow Channel as form of locomotion - kayaking. Wild yet quite amendable.
Did you guys gat a fine/ticket for drinking in the public place? I saw in the background police writing dawn tickets and you were about to sit down and have a beer. In general in Poland you can't drink in public, but if police don't see you can, so it's like a game hide and seek, if you know what I mean. ;)
Normaly drinking in the public is prohibited in Poland (and you can get a fine), but this is very special place where you can drink alcohol legally ("municipal law"). It is reason why so many young people comming this place
It's actually probably not a drinking fine cause you're legally allowed to drink in that area. I'm guessing they were misbehaving or maybe not at the age allowed to drink
You really need to chill with the transition sound, I'm at 7:10 and my ears are already bleeding from the constant beeping every 10 seconds. Please, beware of people watching on headphones xD
Beer from tap for 7-8€ in Germany? Only ever saw prices like this at Brewdog. I mean, Berlin in particular you will still find 0.5l Pils for 3€ in some places. Double that, max., if you're in a restaurant. But 7-8?
Even if its Polish wine, its not a typical polish beverage at all, also you should try żurek a soup served in a bread with sausages & eggs. If they don't serve żurek in a bread it's lame.
Good pierogi are well stuffed with a tin dough, here dough is not so tin and there is still space for a filling, so you've tried not the best one. Is good to check places in trip advisor or just in google for opinions before order. Choose next time place with not less than 4.5 stars, maybe it will not be the cheapest in the city, but this will be accurate experience that you will enjoy.
Umm the thing is that if you drink beer in Poland doesn’t mean it’s polish….🙊 pilsner urquell is actually a Czech beer, and one of best in the world if you ask me 🙊 I’m polish btw so no offence 🤔🤣
unfortunatly Szczecin was destroyed by Poles after 1945 because everyone was scared that Germany will basically take it away so they just took bricks from buildings in Szczecin into other parts in Poland and Szczecin was rebuilt very ugly :(

The best city to visit in Poland is Gdansk which is not that far away from Szczecin.
Szczecin is more interesting and prettier. Gdansk is overrated.
@@kajobecha especially the commie blocks right in the centre of the "old town" lmao

70% of Gdańsk IS a huge block of flats. Szczecin, on the other hand, has a beautiful downtown with starry squares.
We will definitely be planning to visit there!
Szczecin is bigger than Gdansk and has more nature around and within it. Out of the two - no doubt Szczecin is a better choice!
