Kauan is a very brave young man. My prayers to him and the others who were hurt. Remember, while you are not responsible for the trauma you endured, you are responsible for your own healing. May the youth be protected.

7:20 you can tell from his body language how uncomfortable he felt. He knew what the question was. When he finished explaining, he looked sad and ashamed. Poor child. :( I hope he heals from this. He's so brave.

This young man managed to still speak with respect about his abuser and he probably didn’t even forced it it’s just the way they are educated. Extremely sad that his victims will not receive justice neither any compensation or even an official apology.

The company, Johnny's had a press conference on the 8th of September and admitted the crime, Johnny Kitagawa committed, also promised compensation to the victims.

@dellyspice There may be handful fans of Johanny's fans who blame on Kauan, but most of the Japanese people are quite sympathetic, supportive to Kauan. At the same time, so ashamed that it had to be exposed by Western media rather than themselves.

Johnny definitely groomed these victims and with sexual abuse there's manipulation, gas lighting, etc. I hope Kauan receives support and appropriate treatment to heal from all this. Very brave to speak up.

From time to time, there have been former Johnny's celebrities who have accused Johnny Kitagawa of sexual assault. However, Japanese television never reported it. It is a mystery why a person named Johnny Kitagawa had such a strong power over Japanese television. It is thought that he had close ties with Dentsu, a company that manages Japanese TV commercials, and with politicians. Religious organizations may also be involved.

These victim need to unite and file criminal charges! I’m sure there are dozens if not hundreds of talent managers, company employees, and others who absolutely knew what was going on but continued to enable this behavior. It’s a travesty that he was never charged or imprisoned, and got to enjoy his life up until his 80s while his victims have had to suffer in silence! Complete and utter travesty and a systemic failure of Japanese society.

TOBE Takizawa was SVP of Johnny's ENTERTAINMENT WHEN Kitagawa still alive. Takizawa is the most closest person towards Johnny Kitagawa ever. at the same time, Higashiyama was just a talent supporing Jully. Takizawa must declare if he knew or not Kitagawa's child abuse!!

@@ericsohn5084 the time has nothing to do about it. It is pretty much the same if not worse. Kpop trainees were 'gifted' to 'sponsors' so that their companies can get funds. If they say no they are threatened their debut will be forfeited, sometimes, they get guilt trip that their whole group will not debut if they do not give in. Basically for a Johnny's Junior to debut, they got to go through Johnny. For kpop groups to debut, they have to basically be sold to several sponsors. Both very disgusting.

Japan has long had a problem with the exploitation of young people and children. Shops crammed with explicit child anime images, routine photoshoots of adults dressed as teenagers, Tokyo waitresses dressed up and acting like schoolgirls, serving old men bubble tea in every other cafe. People marrying barely legal-looking inflatible dolls. Just ridiculous.
The trouble with Japan is that its beautiful, historic, rural culture sits totally at odds with its wild, sexual deviance city culture. Many outsiders think they're going only to the former but find out the hard way just how weird it gets in the cities.
