Lesson 5: How to balance 'Sa' and play in rhythm with Flute/Bansuri

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 12 ก.ย. 2024
  • For playing any tune in flute, the balance of every note with 'Sa' is most important. If the balance or measurement is not right, then any Raga or tune can not be played with its true and natural beauty. So its a regular practice for a Flute learner is to develop the sense of measurement of every note in respect of 'Sa'.
In this session, we are introducing very important aspect of music, that is Rhythm. Without the sense of rhythm, music is quite impossible. Here we start with 4-4 beat, how to start practicing with this beat. We hope it will be a help for you and it will be easy.

Dear Techer and school! I am most grateful to you. As other students have already said, the way you teach, the way you share your knowledge, it is so refreshing and encouraging. Far from you in Spain, I feel now very close to bansuri and your music style. It is also very encouraging to see so many tutorials ahead (so far reached this 5th one). This means that if I am able to persist, I may be able to gain some good level!
Thank you so much!!!!! Your work is highly appreciated. Alberto

@@poorna.c You can play any flute, just remember, small flutes make high pitched sound and bigger flutes make low pitched sound. I play a E natural flute, and at the beggining I was wondering why I can't make tune like Mr. Murtaza Kabir Murad. Then I realized that, he plays a base flute, which is much bigger than my flute. That's why his tune is low pitched and my tune is high pitched. So, that's all I'm saying, you can play any flute you want. Just the pitch vary from scale to scale.

    You said that use tabala.
Taal dadara 4-4 beat rhythm . I tried to find it out many times but I found out dadara (8) and not dadara (4). It (dadara 8) doesn't match with what you are showing. It is different. I found out bhajani (8) which is much more similar to what you are showing in lesson no. 5. Where is the mistake? Is there really dadara (4) rhythm taal available? May I use bhajani (8) In stead of dadara (4) ? Please help
