Wow! I didn't even know this feature existed. Love it. I will definitely use it to zoom in on a section while I am talking about that section. And then zoom out and zoom in on another part of the scene when I am talking about that section. It's a great way to get people to stay focused on what you are talking about and not have their attention on a part of the scene you don't want them to be looking at at that time. Also, by zooming in it will make the text bigger and easier to read while it is the discussion point. Fantastic! Lots of uses for this feature.
Great tutorial and tutorial series. I knew about camera panning transitions between scenes, but nothing about the zoom and pan effects within a scene. Very cool.
Love this feature, but one thing I noticed is that the (+) symbol for the pan feature is only next to the latest pan. It'd be much more convenient if it were next to all of them or if just clicking in the blank field created one or a hot-key, thank you!
@@doodlyofficial6033, thank you for the reply! Where can I vote for them at? I'm pretty new to the software so I'm not entirely familiar with all the resources yet, but I am about to post my first doodly-made video!
Just starting up! My first video was a succes. Question I can not find how to create a screen wit three independent subscreens as shown in the tutorial DoI need a template or how to manage other wise
I'm confused, this tutorial starts with 3 frames on the one page. How do I create the 3 boxes each character is in. That hasnt been explained. Or is it 3 different scenes?
How do you get to do those annotation pen drawings on the screen while you are explaining? Is that a feature of Doodly or do you use another app for that?
I have noticed that not all of the features that are shown in the videos work with the Mac application system. Is there a video show the similarities and differences between the Windows and Mac applications?
how can you change the aspect ratio on a zoom, I want to zoom in on the left 1/3 of the screen then to the middle third then to the right 1/3? Or is it limited to only using the aspect of the full screen?
I tried this out a couple of days ago in a video and it worked well for the scene. I noticed that the zoom didn't go in a smooth line in the final video, but went in one direction and then angled sideways to get to the final destination. Is this something I did by the way I set the end window? Or does Doodly figure out the zooming path? It looked fine anyway, just wondering.
Why is the pan transition random? If I create a new scene, will the prior pan transition into it always stay the same after it initially picks a direction or will with go random each time to that specific scene? Ex) If I pan transition to a new scene and want to add in a Pan and Zoom effect at the top as I notice that's the direction the pan initially goes, can I actually rely on that method or is it possible the next time it will pan in from the bottom and then my Pan and Zoom flow (starting top) is messed up?
Hi! I decided to add this panning and zooming effect to a video I have already created. However, this effect can only be added to the first scene and not to the subsequent ones because the plus symbol to do so can't be seen while you're in any other scene, but the first one. I think the solution would be that you add this feature to the Scene Settings section as well. This way you could control the scene in which you want to have the effect. Don't you think? Thanks!
The plus symbol should always be seen by the end of where you last added your pan and zoom effect so you should be able to add this feature to every scene you want. If you're having trouble, kindly email us at support@doodly.com Thank you!
Ah ... after watching this two times, I still did not pick up the section one pans to must be a rectangular shape or multiples of a rectangular shape: ie a square. So now I try again :)
Is there a possibility to create groups? It's very annoying to select every prop, if you want to change the whole scene, especially for scenes like your first scene, where you have different scenes in one frame.

One of my coworkers likes to make documentary films. It's nice to know that Doodly can make storyboards using the scene essence. Add a Talkia audio track for a complete multi-voice production!
I have tried numerous times to get a pan or zoom added to my videos and I have finally come to the conclusion that it will never ever work for me no matter how hard or often I try to get it to work. 😬
I'm just a beginner with Doodly, but I really do not understand almost anything of the video. Do you need to start with a prepared scene in frames? Why she moves the camera seconds after or before in that timeline (I get that the preview was not good but do not get how to use the timing) ecc. I left the video at 4:45 and unliked it. Sorry but absolutely obscure. Why do not propose a step-by-step explaining why you do things more in particular?
Oh my goodness. These little videos answer my questions and skill me up nicely! Brilliant!

this was the one thing Doodly was lacking that was frustrating a lot of users. Kudos team, this is brilliant!
Glad you like it!
This one, was of great importance, for me to learn. Thank you.
These videos have certainly upped my Doodly skills -- Good stuff!
Awesome!
Great Tutorials. That's cool that you can pan and zoom on a scene. Thank you.
You're welcome! We love this new feature too
!
Great video on the pan & zoom features of Doodly. Clear, easy to understand and implement.
Thank you for the feedback. Glad we are able to help.
Wow - I didn't know about this. I think it'll take my videos to a whole new level, can't wait to try it out.
Glad we are able to help.

Glad this was helpful for you, Michael!
Thank you x
You are so welcome!
Very good! I like the new feature of previewing the pan and zoom! I did not see anything left out on this one!
Thank you, Tony!

hey! how did you make the three boxes in the starting in which characters are placed? I am not able to get that.. can anybody pls help?
Really helpful video tutorial, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you make the editing bar below smaller? I'm annoyed because it takes way too much screen and I can't make it smaller, only bigger.
Love the new feature
Thanks, Robert!

Absolutely brilliant :) Splendid function I hadn't known about. Good job, guys!
Many thanks!
Loving the training videos! I'm learning a lot so I can make effective videos. The pan and zoom are very cool and am eager to try them out.
Glad you like them! Looking forward to seeing the content you create!
This is 🥇 Gold
Would´t be grat if there was an option to panning all the scenes at the end fo the video?
I'm confused, this tutorial starts with 3 frames on the one page. How do I create the 3 boxes each character is in. That hasnt been explained. Or is it 3 different scenes?
After panning several scenes, is there a way to 'zoom-out' and see the board with all the scenes together?

How do you get to do those annotation pen drawings on the screen while you are explaining? Is that a feature of Doodly or do you use another app for that?

On 1:33 you should be able to see how you can adjust the size of the frame you want to zoom in.
It is awesome ❤
I did not realize it before.
Thank you very much!👍

Hello, is there anyway to lock the motion? I'm struggling to add a new scene at the beginning and then all of my motion is off kilter. Thank you!

Can I do that with the standar version?
Yes, you can. For further details kindly please reach us at support@doodly.com

Not at this time but we can consider this for future enhancements to Doodly!
Tried this and the it worked but everything after that one scene stopped showing. You could only hear the audio everything else was blank

The title of the video is misleading. It says 'Change Camera Angle'. Unless I missed it I didn't see any camera angle changes.
