This made me open up my Canva account which I never use for a recent video I posted, and I must say, it was fun to create a thumbnail in literally minutes. The two major tips I learned here was the posing in the video for the thumbnail, and the VLC snapshot which I had never used. That will make life grand. 😊

This is so so helpful. I'm in the very early stages of my TH-cam channel and only have a tiny 15 subscribers! But I'm still trying to improve and learn on ways to improve my videos and this was incredibly helpful. My husband has agreed to get me a decent camera for mothers day so I can improve on quality and then I just need to work on the little things like thumbnails intros and all those little things that make a big difference! I dont expect to be some big youtuber but I just really really enjoy making and editing videos. Its almost a hobby! So thanks for this helpful video 😊

@@PrimalVideo One important thing I found out in Canva is instead of circling the text and rectangle to group them, there is an option to display layers. This way, each layer can individually be selected, and by pressing the Control key, additional layers can be selected to group them. Doing it this way is less mouse driven and is more precise in my experience.

This is an awesome tutorial! Now I see why my channel sucks! I never considered thumbnails but now it all makes sense. I'm not good with Photoshop, things like removing backgrounds, blending things into a new look. Also, I am just not artistic, I can tell if something is great when I see it, but can't create it on my own. Your recommendation for Canva saved my life!
