      First stepped into Roger Penske's Newell in Denver 90ish at an Indy car race. Might have been 87 or 88. 30 plus yrs ago and such class. If I had the money I'd prefer a Newell to a provost but I'd be thrilled with a marathon or American Heritage. Heck even a Shasta trailer from the 60s. Well maybe not....suburban and hotel room is fine...

    I first fell in love with Newell Coaches before I learned about Prevost.
    This coach is making me fall in love with them all over again .
    Newell coaches are slightly cheaper and their technology is more innovative than most of what the Prevost converters are producing except for, Liberty.
    Their Interiors are much more interesting.
    The paint designs are almost as good as the designs that Dean Loucks/Liberty Coach creates.

      Plus with a Newell your not loosing space in the cockpit you get to use those chairs the pilot and co pilot chairs for extra living space as in any prevost conversion the minute you step in that first 3 to 4 feet is dead space you can't use those chairs and for prevost conversion that has only about 41 feet of usable space the NEWELL wins hands down every time

    Love the coach, but even at $2.2m it still has your typical RV brown/beige/maroon/pastel palette. Why not a solid metallic blue on the exterior, or some strong, bright, saturated colors on the interior, or plain white, black, and metal if you're feeling minimalist? Why still so much brown?

      I totally like the hinged door for fill up... when RvLife becomes so frantic that you don't have time to open a door to fuel up- time to leave the RVLife... the security of the tank is 100% I know they didn't mention it but those under coach doors lock at push of touch screen from inside... no one will be siphoning diesel from your rig anytime ever!

Mmmmmm, that would be my dream come true! To be able to travel in the comfort of home. The electronics and creature comforts are just so well thought out. I guess you’d not only need $$ to buy one, but for the gas too! Ha! Well worth it if you can afford it!. I assume they have a class to teach you how to operate everything. • @Hi-bm6fc
      @Hi-bm6fc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Darby no they are actual iPads running their custom app, Crestron automation does this very often giving iPads as a screen it’s very common

    • @thomasdarby6084
      @thomasdarby6084 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hi-bm6fc You may be right, but it makes little sense. There are plenty of very good touch screens made for high-end RV's. To use iPads, in multiple locations, is a waste of technology... you are essentially using a powerful small computer to run one app!

    • @thomasdarby6084
      @thomasdarby6084 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@porkfatrulz9337 If I'm paying $2 mil plus for an RV, I am DEFINITELY concerned with the tech... I want the best of the best. People who earn their wealth do so because they pay attention to detail. If the person selling me the RV doesn't know an LCD touch screen from an iPad, then I wouldn't deal with him. And even a dolt spending his Daddy's money doesn't want to be lied to.

  • @MattAGamon
    @MattAGamon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Nice Coach. Asking the sales guy in the video you'd probably never get an actual answer, but I would love to know what the sales/negotiation process is on these (and others in the price class like Prevost)
    Being such a small market there isn't much info out there, but my hunch is that while the sticker price might be 2.2 million, most don't actually pay that. A prospective buyer will come in and offer 1.55-1.75 million which is about 70-80% of the sticker price and expect the dealer to counter the offer and eventually land somewhere in the middle, but it won't go off the lot for a full 2.2 million.
    Maybe I am out of touch and buyers write the check for whatever the "MSRP" states, but that is a theory I have wondered about for a while.
    Maybe Andrew the expert can weight in and say if this sounds reasonable. Nice video though!

    • @grahamdills1428
      @grahamdills1428 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The guy in the video isn’t a sales guy He’s customer service so he’s giving the honest answer

    • @MattAGamon
      @MattAGamon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grahamdills1428 I'm not talking about his honesty on the product in the video. I'm talking about if he were asked what the typical sales price would be.
      Any skilled negotiator would keep the true markup of their product line as quiet as possible because that would hinder their negotiation position and values for previous customers.
      At the end of the day the item will sell for whatever a customer is willing to pay, but the more folks that know what past customers have paid, the less room for negotiation the dealer, or in Newell's case, the manufacturer has in the negotiation of future sales. The bottom line is if you want details on true pricing, it's not going to come from anyone at the factory or sales lot because they have everything to lose and nothing to gain by telling you

    • @tevans3373
      @tevans3373 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MattAGamon Newell has all of their customers sign a non-disclosure so you'll probably never know what someone actually pays, but the $2.2 mill is the MSRP and that's all they are allowed to give to the public.

    • @MattAGamon
      @MattAGamon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tevans3373 Thanks for confirming my suspicions that coaches don't necessarily sell at MSRP. Although I am surprised to hear Newell would go that far as to require non-disclosure agreements. Now I'm wondering if the Prevost converters follow suit. I can't imagine that'd be an easy thing to convince/enforce buyers into doing though.

      Talked way to fast, very clipped manner as if he had it things to do and this was putting him out to have to show this coach. Much more on this beautiful coach to show, more features and less technical pads. You do not need that many.

    Amazing coach and great video. I LOVE all the electronics but at the same time it scares me. What kind of warranty does a coach like this have?

    • @rafindallas
      @rafindallas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you purchase a brand new coach from NEWELL you get a 24 Month UNLIMITED Mileage factory warranty with a few very specific exclusions for wear & tear items, etc. If you purchase from NEWELL a pre-owned Certified coach you get a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty again with some specific exclusions. Advantage with NEWELL is you have one single contact number to call 24/7/365 and speak to a live operator for any assistance with your new or used NEWELL coach.

    Would have been nice to know a bunch of things that weren’t covered like how long is the rig, fuel mileage. Air suspension? Didn’t show the refrigerator. AC one two or what heating. How much fuel, water, grey n black tanks .Sound system cooking stove. And all those kind of important things

      Mike Babcock apparently he had items in his refrigerator he did not want to show..... at that $$$ I wonder if it’s a HEMP WAGON... ? At this price point who ever could afford this would never care on the gas mileage or any other minor concern.

    I was introduced to Newell Coach in the 80’s from a Car & Driver article. Apparently they were/are very popular with car racing teams and because of their in-house fabricated chassis and lower center of gravity, the owners often would do power slides with them.

    i love the concept of a luxury coach like this, it’s fabulous, however there are flaws. you’ve got 2 sets of buyers, 1 set loves all the storage, the other lite packer set (that i’m in) doesn’t care about all the storage. not all ppl that can afford this are gonna bring 2 months worth of clothing with them for a trip. so maybe build a light packer design and a heavy packer design. when it comes to a light packer like me, having a build that doesn’t have all kinds of bulky storage means more room to make the coach even more luxurious. also in my coach i want a real porcelain toilet. a big one too, a version that is comfy for my 6 foot 4 body to sit on. i’m even willing to sacrifice the fancy shower glass for a tiled shower with a curtain. i’m not a glass fan. my #1 add that i want that i don’t see in these travel coaches, vans, rv’s etc etc is a nice comfy leather sofa. mine would need to be 80 inches long. like right now i’m sitting on a leather sofa that is 80 inches long. gotta have a comfy leather sofa, it’s a must. then another thing i think that could be a benefit to all. get rid of these small cramped nooks. don’t need a nook for a nice coach like this. what’s needed more than anything is a hydraulic lift table that has two comfort position capabilities. #1 height #2 distance from the head man’s stomach. options are better than a table that’s in a fixed position that can’t be compromised. overall i’d give this coach an 8.5, my wanted adds would make it a 10.

    Put a $2,3 million Prevost side by side with a $2,3 Newel, and I'll take the Prevost all day long, all of those electronics in the Newel is just more stuff to go wrong, sure it is handy to have until it breaks down then you've lost control of a lot of the electronics in the coach.

  •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question the motor of this veichiel are of course motout combustion? correct? but have you enghenrie change that motor combustion to a electric motor? look i dont see how power produced your generated power electric and how many power chage bateries have it tha RV, so the question are if also have or not at the roof solar painel? look if that kind of techonoly and like we see the software also provided you can change the combustion motor to a electric motor with the same power hourses anf of course with and aplie more bateries where the left space by put the electricla motor with induction systen, because when its in parkig conectec to the wire of power can be recharged and when the veichile are circulated down a montain the electric motor can recharged the bateries and when are not any logistical recharged bateries at some place away the electrical generated power must be (control by softwarel) turn on even in movemnet without stop the veichile, produced energy to provide electrical power to the bateries and the bateries provided energy electrical to the induction motor that are working in only electrical without any fuel, the only fuel ist just for the generated electric to produced the enery to recharge the bateries and etc... of course also the painel solar systen also to recharge the bateries and when this veichilie brake that kind of process can also provided energy to recharged the bateries... because what i see it al the electric systen inside are all the devices are feed by the electric corent... so that genrated of power electric must be like a smal motor like i see from a race top car with a electrical motor with 3000 HP (or 2900 or even 5000HP) i cant rebember to precises but its was this kind of numbers of Hourse power but have a engine combustion of 3 cylinderes eneougth to produced electric power to that engine and with bateries when they need to recharged by this litle motor combustion .... all conect and renovla energy by this out of grid but when need recharged that engine can provided it even in movement of this kind of mesure and etc... (the house powers that i not rebember but i rembember that was enougth that electrical motor enougth also the same motor to give for 2 bus) was sweeden elctrical and sport car thats new) and its top but tat engine i knowing was enougth to push two bus ... and etc...

    how is this 10x better than a $200K coach? this is an exercise in how to spend/waste money, while we are in an economic disaster. hm, why not add 24K gold trim? because all these cosmetic features don't add to the RVing experience. and with all these gadgets, you have to plan on something failing.
