There is much that can be done. I recommend you go through SOAP: S - scripture - whatever your passage is - read it over and over and over again O - Observation - What are things you notice just based on the passage - Not what you think you notice but what you actually notice that is written A - Application - how does it apply to you and your audience - Also, bring out some commentaries at this point to help make sure you are on the right path P- Prayer - do this throughout the entire process and dont stop this until you walk up to give your sermon. There are a variety of ways to form a sermon... here are 2: 1) Expository - verse by verse - you literally just walk through the passage and focus on those verse and build out the sermon from that 2) Topical Expository - verse by verse on a certain topic - Say anger. There is many ways to go about writing a sermon and getting ready to share it.I dont know If this helps out our not but at least it can be a starting point for you. Just know It is the Lord speaking through you. You never know what you say how it will affect those that are listening to it. Just go in and try your best to honor the Lord with what you preach.
