- The choices we make today determine our tomorrows. If we knew what the consequences were, we would never have made some of our past decisions.
In this message, Dr. Stanley poses a number of questions we should ask ourselves before choosing a path. Jesus says there are only two ways to live. We can walk the godly and righteous path or the path that leads to disappointment and destruction. It all depends on where we want to end up in life and what rules, if any, we want to live by.
Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12).
If we want to get on the right path, we have to place our trust in Christ as the crucified Savior, ask God to forgive us of our sins, and surrender our lives to Him.

I am a black woman who was raised in church and I have listen to my pastor and others preached the word of GOD yet I have never had the Word broken down to have a clear understanding how to live my life completely surrendering and obeying Almighty GOD like Charles Stanley. I have heard other white pastor's preach on TV and they don't break the truth down and disect GODS word and how we should live until JESUS return. Only one came close and that was Billy Graham may he rest in peace. The only black pastor on TV who breaks the word down is Geno Jenkins but I love Charles Stanley way of speaking

When your life is falling apart have faith that it is actually falling into place by God's Grace, even tho you might not see how but trust the Lord and your Savior Jesus Christ for He is near, just Trust and Obey Him. Have a wonderful day and week.

It was the deception of not knowing the Father that put the angels that fell following the one supposedly in charge. Satan. 1/3 followed and where casted out. Now the Law set in. Death 👹. I wish I could remember what sermon it was I walked into my kitchen and he was on t.v and I sat down and next thing I remember I was on my face crying and asking Jesus into my life and pray everyday for having found Dr. Charles Stanley! Rebecca Emanuel Charles Stanley is a blessing! He was one of main mentors that contributed to my Christian growth, when I was a new Christian 30 years ago. I always think that I can listen to one of his sermons while doing dishes or something else, but it's impossible. His sermons, each one for 30 years, require taking notes. That is how he touches my life, his sermons are annointed by God & I have the strongest desire to take notes on paper & in my Bible.
Rebecca, not remembering the title of the setmon is not important, what is important, is the results; how it touched your heart & soul, and your obedience to listen to God. You heard Him, you saw your need for Christ in your life, and you cried out to Him. I think one day, God will bring that sermon back to you & at that time in your life, as long as you continue to move forward in your walk with Christ, God will have you hear those words that touched your heart so deeply, and you will learn something new, something that God wants you to learn at that time in your life.

I was jogging one morning wearing headphones and feeling bad and lonely. Dr. Stanley came on and it was as if Jesus was talking to me through Dr. Stanley. I fell to my knees and thanked God for him. I love listening to this man. ❤️

I did drugs for years,, I live a life of lust and I am lazy. I used darkness as a false sense of security.. I lived in a lie.. I ran scared of those who loved me and treated God and the world and all things holy as my enemy because I believed in false teachings.....I'm fighting the urge to sin but it is a hard battle, one step at a time with God.. I start by wearing my sins outwards and not hide them... I prefer God because he is better and knows me more than I do.. praise God and love to my neighbors.
God will take all those old urges you have. Keep praying and asking him to remove that sin from you. 🙏

Anyone familiar with the 70s rock band Led Zeppelin knows the song "Stairway to Heaven". There's a line in the song that says, "yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on". After years of listening to this song, I finally recognized this line as one of Satan's lies that I had been believing all my life. I thank God that he did give me time to change my path, but it took a 20 yr prison sentence to help me make a COMMITMENT to staying on God's path.

Talking about Hell... it's important I think to talk about it. Hell is absolute and total separation from God, without the hope of being reconciled to him. I am thankful for Jesus... for his paying for my sins... for his taking my place. It's a grace I certainly do not deserve, a love that surpasses understanding. I grew up in a Christian family with amazing God seeking Parents. However, during my university years, I slowly moved away from God & the company of believers. At a young age, I got a lot of fame, popularity, got to travel the world around. Sexual immorality, wrong relationship with an unbeliever and slowly one sin after other dragged me down to a pit of despair. But it was God who healed me and restored me to him. I used to struggle even a month or two back with few things but daily reading the word, praying has helped me. I also got selected to Oxford University, will be leaving in a month. All glory to God, nothing can fulfil your life apart from God. It is an everyday intimate relationship with God, we might fail at times but don't drift away. Seek strength, grace, and mercy from God and keep moving.
That is why there is a Stairway to Heaven and a Highway to hell. Preach it! Amen!!

Help us Lord and use us Lord to reach the lost and let us not be lost in ministry, but always walk with you. We know all your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. I LOVEEE how at the end of most of his sermons he always ask the question if one is surrendered his life entirely, if one believes that Jesus is the son of God, died on the cross for us and so on. It is a constant reminder for us who have been save that God is in control and we should always remind our soul that we do belong to him!!!

Excellent Scriptural message! You can feel, hear and see the influence of the Holy Spirit upon the words of Dr. Charles Stanley.
I was always skeptical growing up. A few years ago I started experiencing heavy sleep paralysis almost on a daily basis. Then I saw somewhere that if you speak out and say I command you to leave in the name of Jesus that the sleep paralysis would go away. And so I did that more than once and each time I would feel it slowly lifting itself away from me. It is there that I realized that Jesus may be real. So I started investigating and looking at all the evidence and one night while I was laying in bed before sleep I felt like I was done searching for truth. And just before I went to sleep in my mind I asked myself if I really believe in Jesus. And looked deep in myself and said yes I believe that he suffered greatly on the cross and was resurrected so that who ever believes in him will be forgiven and have life. Shortly after I feel asleep and in the middle of the night I was awaken to what felt like a large hand on my head and just moments later it was gone and was followed by a tingling sensation in my torso area. After that day I have not been the same and there was no more sleep paralysis. It is true what Dr. Stanley says, you must believe in your heart and be sincere and confess to God what Jesus means to you and you will be saved.

This is my personal testimony.
I used to believe that I was a super strong lady, super smart, capable of taking care of myself, and even though I have always been a believer, my faith in God wasn't as strong as it was in myself.
Two years ago I had a serious personal problem with my family, without going into details; at that point, my family was my God, they were the reason I live for, in other words, my "EVERYTHING", but due to the issue with them one day they ALL, everybody abandoned me, over the night... I was left without anything and anyone to talk to. Months passed by, on which I couldn't sleep, lost my appetite and also my will to live. I pretended for a while that I was fine cus I full of pride so I couldn’t admit that this time I wasn’t gonna be able to fix myself…until I couldn't take it any longer.
One night when the pain was unbearable, and desperation took over me, finally, I realized that I couldn’t keep living that way, so I started planning how to kill myself, I gave some thoughts to the idea because I wanted it to be effective and final, I needed to stop the pain but before I did it I got on my knee, very angry with God, at 3 something am, I screamed to God "IF YOU CARE ABOUT ME, DO SOMETHING BECAUSE I CAN'T DO THIS ANY LONGER!!!, I AM A GOOD PERSON AND YOU KNOW IT!!!
I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN ANY LONGER!!! I DON'T WANT THIS LIFE ANY MORE!!, IF YOU DON'T DO SOMETHING I AM!!!
IF YOU SAVE ME I PROMISE I WILL DEDICATE THE REST OF MY LIFE TO YOU!!!”
After this, all I remember comes to me like a flashback, I swear, I don't know how I got back to my bed( my last memory was been on my knee by my bed). Later on( I am not sure how long it passed), on this flashback I opened my eyes for a second and my room was full of extraordinary light, so strong I couldn't keep my eyes open, I was on a fetal position on my bed(I didn't need to see Jesus face because the love and peace that overcame me, that fulfilled my inner being was screaming his presence).
I woke up at 10:35am as A TOTAL NEW PERSON, I felt like I have lost a heavyweight I was carrying on, I was radiant, hunger, happy and full of hopes and plans for my life... Jesus saved me! he cleans my spirit from evil desires OVER THE NIGHT! just the way my family forsakes me. I have been wanting to give my testimony for almost 2 years, I guess the Lord decided that today was the day, God is REAL people, He is, and all we have to do is to redeem ourselves to Him and ask for His help, He is waiting for us to do so, this is mentioned in the Bible on Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
We don't have to suffer alone, Jesus died for us, so we can live an abundant and long life.

Well you’re super smart & wise now! Have been a committed believer, follower, & witness for 11yrs. now and since virtually abandoned by a few family members including my spouse . Have fallen into some ongoing sins for the past 9mos.,repenting consistently but just continue to go back which defies all Godly logic & everything I believe in as a Christian. Is pathetic but fully recognize cannot stop on my own power and do feel the power of the Holy Spirit beginning to give me the strength.

Dear Charles Stanley....I just heard that you are leaving/retiring. I understand that you cannot do this forever...but my heart is grieving so to lose you! You are still with us on this earth.....and I will do all I can to keep up with where you are and what you are doing. I just can't let go....because you have been my best most humblest pastor. As long as our precious Lord keeps you with us on this earth, I will follow where you are! You brought me back to Christ when I was lost! I'm not letting you go! God blessed me with your teachings! God is first...you are His most humble servant that helped save me! God bless you and your loved ones. Thank you for your service in Christ!

Im listening to your sermon on my tv. And of course commenting on my mobile phone. And nephew of mine posted blasphemy toward the Holy Spirit and many of the prophets that God had chosen. Too much to handle hearing him talk like that hurts, But this video was defiantly shared. And let us pray for his soul, let us pray for his salvation, let pray that the enemy stops attacking his mind and the way of thinking.
