Certainly, someone was paying attention when otherwise devoted adherents to a generational drama that once the final act was over, put us all right back where we started...confused and eventually rather disappointed a new paradigm failed to emerge. This guy was taking notes to be sure. Great documentary, by far the best that simply nailed it.
I have downloaded this whole series for my dad, who does not use the internet, because there is no person I know of on earth who more reminds me of Dean Moriarty than my dad.
I have always dug the hippy psychedelic artwork of the buses and cars of the West. But if you want to really blow your mind....check out the art and paintjobs they do to the trucks and buses of India and Pakistan. Truly jaw dropping. There is a whole subculture of painters that do this art over there. For what they do....they dont make much money. These people have talent.
One of the signs that you live in a deeply religious society, is that everyone tries to interpret anything they encounter or experience from a religious perspective. It should also be noted that, even if a person isn't fully conscious of all the religious influence their society has on them, it will still greatly influence their perception. But it's fascinating to me that scientists can now use electromagnetic impulses to the brain to stimulate such experiences in people, without any drugs. The same rule of interpretation applies, though. tavi.
Interesting… It shouldn’t be impossible to induce a near death experience and someone… Because everyone seems to have a similar sort of thing, the tunnel of light, etc. etc.
True. A cool beatnik guy different from the aging Kerouac (who didn't realise the world changed at that point). Pity Cassidy didn't publish his works. Cassidy was driving that bus like crazy on effect of drugs LOL
Did they released the film? They failed. Aging Kerouac didn't join, they didn't tell Thimoty oleary they was arriving, at the University they failed, the beatles was just interested in money and at the grateful dead party they spiked the drinks. But they created the Cozmic dance, just Cassidy and the dead supported them. What called my attention that Ken Kessey and Oleary they got huge houses. Waw
I think Internet culture is the Utopia that the Pranksters dreamed of: we are living in a constant 'now' where we are feeding each other with ideas and experiences. Meme humor is part of that.
I'm a narrator really great work bringing this to me still anxious panic too many steps trying to blow out tell everyone get stronger but I trust Jesus Christ my love my life

Thank you. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series as well.
Sorry guys, I expect this to happen a lot with this series. It's a non-stop copyright battle.

Try using a copyright deadlock. That should at least keep the videos up.

This was very good, and wow you are not afraid to deal with a lot of info at once. Hope there's a 5/

Also, I'm really surprised Nick Cassidy was still alive at this point! ;) Rikki Tikki.
Neal Cassady didn’t last long.. he was gone by ‘68 which is a shame but he lived a storied life nonetheless

*I CALL RADICAL CENTRISM/APOLITICISM.*
what song is played at the start?
It's the Grateful Dead's 'Viola Lee Blues', in an acid test version
Awesome.
Great series zs. It got me thinking. Do you think "meme" humor could be considered aa a bebop kind of comedy?
I think Internet culture is the Utopia that the Pranksters dreamed of: we are living in a constant 'now' where we are feeding each other with ideas and experiences. Meme humor is part of that.
Your style reminds me of Adam Curtis
What is intro song
It's the Grateful Dead's 'Viola Lee Blues', but I think it's a live version. I don't remember exactly.
