  • The new Injora Rock Terrain 64mm tires are using the super sticky S5 Compound. Are they too soft? or are they the grippiest tire yet? We will find out using my grip testing rig to get real world data comparing 1.0 crawler tires.

    Thanks for this comprehensive tire test. I'll have to try a set of 1.9 Rock Terrains on my Capra. I just bought a set of Yeahrun 2.2 Super Swampers and they are some of the softest tires I've run across. Haven't had a chance to test them yet though. They may be too big for the Capra so I'll probably put them on my Gatekeeper. Just to let the haters know, I like and have Proline tires but their pricing is way too high for my current budget. Their value for money is just not there.

    These tires have 57mm and 64mm versions. If you could compare them it would be great to see if different tire sizes makes any changes.

  • @thelowquat27
    @thelowquat27 ปีที่แล้ว

    U should also test the rc4wd scramblers and the rc4wd mud slingers, from my experience they're the 2 best tires out. I havent tried these new Injoras or the comp pins yet buy for a normal big tire they seem to out perform almost all others

  • @BigEazy-xj4rq
    @BigEazy-xj4rq ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would certainly like to see some testing done with the FMS Atlas 6X6 if possible, I think there would be a substantial difference in grip for all tires with an extra axle.

    • @BigEazy-xj4rq
      @BigEazy-xj4rq ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course problem is stock tires (55mm) with the stock links for the Atlas will only permit 5mm worth of space for the rear axles, so longer links maybe necessary if you were to run modified or not

    • @cncrc
      @cncrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you could possibly just extrapolate that data from these tests. In the end, I think it could be cool to have a top gear sort of chart for max grip based on a rig rather than tire though.

    One of the best tires (Rock Terrain) beside RC4WD Mud Slingers i run on wet rocks! Next please test "Littel guy" tires!

    • @V8chump
      @V8chump ปีที่แล้ว

      Ehhh, mud slingers are way too knobby for actual rock crawling in my opinion… more for loose dirt and mud. if they break loose whatsoever it makes the car super jumpy and choppy on rocks

    To account for the difference in weight between the different setups, could you look at basically a coefficient of friction, so dividing the grip (side force) by the weight of the vehicle (down force)? Curious to see how much the extra weight of these big tires helps them in this test.

    • @cncrc
      @cncrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I considered that as well. I'm looking at options to account for that.

    It really disappoints me that these tires are called Injora's new tires. This is a Pro-Line signature tire tread pattern. Imitation may be flattery but this kind of plagiarism is dangerous for the longevity of our hobby.

    • @gertrudeausbuxdehude8842
      @gertrudeausbuxdehude8842 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Right, 100% agree but Pro Line don't get it to made their Tires in a useable Sizes. No one wants it in 54mm. Now they making Trenchers in 57mm. They are not at the Point of Time. So Thanks Injora because Pro Line is sleeping. By the Way I think Pro Line is not a very good RC Company. They made so less Things during the Year, the Body's are overpriced and thin. Injora does so much for the Hobby, Specially for the 1:24's.

    • @cncrc
      @cncrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, though I wonder if Pro Line is up to something. Furitek is selling a 1/24 cliffhanger rebranded, and these tires are also now available stock on the Mashigan. Seems like they are possibly selling licensing or something.

    • @gertrudeausbuxdehude8842
      @gertrudeausbuxdehude8842 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cncrc Probably, I don't know. Because You said Cliffhanger, I saw on Ali Express unbranded Cliffhanger and B-17 Betty Body's for around 15 Bucks. 1:1 like the Body's from Axial and Pro Line only without Decals. 🤔

    • @ianroberts8371
      @ianroberts8371 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cncrc I can say for certain that Pro-Line is not selling licensing for the bodies or tires, it's just Chinese companies trying to steel profits from hard working American workers.

    • @shaynejenkins446
      @shaynejenkins446 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gertrudeausbuxdehude8842 Your 100% wrong. Injora makes garbage to put on amazon.

  • @shaynejenkins446
    @shaynejenkins446 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Injora is just a Chinese company coping other rc companies products. This video is showing Injoras bootleg hyrax tires that proline makes. I would never buy or support them.

    • @cncrc
      @cncrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of companies that do that, and it's not great. I think proline may have sold the hyrax pattern as it's now available stock on a new truck.
