@@billspangler2685 the 2025 Buick enclave does 0-60 in the low 7s and reviewers call it slow. In the real world totally adequate, fast even. At the time this 6.0l Escalade was the one to have if you were into rocket ship land barges.
Some things definitely improved. Other things became worse. Like how many interior functions can only be controlled via the infotainment screen, for example.

@ Toyotas improved? No. Aren’t they having thousands of recalls on newer models? Yes. GMs quality has took a turn over the years. Cadillac is on the bottom of reliability.

Yeah it can't be considered true luxury until its got a 36" infotainment screen, low profile tires and a 17 speed CVT with "sport paddles" like a truly modern luxury car.

@@billspangler2685 I think 7.6 is blazing fast for such a big vehicle, for that era. It had the high output 6 liter motor. 345 horsepower.

I have an 05 Escalade still love it so much
$60k was something back in the day but now that’s totally nothing compared to the Escalade V ESV which is around $160k to own.

All the ESVs of these years have the 6.0 V8's and AWD, mine has 203k and still runs great.
