Holy shit Kraven is legitimately terrifying. I mean its great to have villains you can sympathize with like Otto, but its so refreshing to have a genuinely psychopathic murderer for a villain
This is the coolest portrayal of Kraven I’ve ever seen. He is one of the reasons why I feel this game is considerably darker than the two predecessors.
I will say this, respect to Insomniac for doing Kraven the Hunter justice in this game. Usually he was always one of Spidey’s lesser known and less talked about villains, but they made him a freakin’ badass here. Glad to see his character getting the proper respect, he was always one of my favorites of Spider-Man’s rogues.

They gave Kraven so much justice in this game. He’s such a badass in the comics and they made him a badass in the game! And if you don’t understand this scene and how Kraven lives after getting stabbed, a little bit before this you go into a lab with Scorpion’s venom being studied and vials of cures against it.
I thought he was just giving him a dose of poison like he did Peter in the first game. Kraven canonically takes special herbs that gives him superhuman abilities so the thought of k¡lling him never crossed my mind.

Friendly reminder that Kraven treated both Scorpion and Electro like jokes, but respected the hell out of Shocker. Implying even that , out of the original Sinister Six, he came the closest to actually killing him.

Kraven is definetely Powerful but Agent Venom was beating him up which speaks a lot for him because Even spidey with the symbiote had a lot Problems against kraven and remember spidey could in Part 1 defeat scorpion and rhino Thats why was kraven a lot stronger then scorpion to the Point where scorpion was scared of him

Tbf, Kraven uses a potion that temporarily boosts his strength to rival Spider-Man. But the reveal that this Kraven was dying of cancer makes him even more dangerous. A man with nothing to lose really makes for a dangerous opponent

Choosing Scorpion to be killed onscreen was a wise choice. Mac is a physical threat to Spider-Man and has a similar powerset. But most importantly, NOBODY is going to mourn Scorpion's death. This version of Scorpion is a slimy sadistic asshole and even the other villains seem to hate him.
I liked this scorpion, honestly. Best design, pretty big threat (to the spidermen being able to outsmart both of them), and his and rhinos boss is one of my favorite boss fights in the series.

Scorpion is nowhere near Peter in strength. Peter holds back a lot against Scorpion. In the Superior Spider-Man Otto switched bodies with Peter. He fights Scorpion and punched Scorpion’s jaw clean off making Otto realize Peter had held back all those years. Scorpion is fodder to Peter if he really wanted it

They really did a good job with building up Kraven. You were barely able to handle the S6 in the first game and here you have Kraven fighting them 1v1 directly and killing them like ants. If you look at the files, Kraven also said that Vulture and Electro were weak as well.

This is hands down the most skilled and intelligent version of Kraven The Hunter. Idk if there are any crazy or absurdly powerful versions of him in the comics, but cinematically this guy is barely even human anymore. Ik in Spectacular Spider-Man he had got the radioactive spider-serum and turned into a mutated lion, but I HIGHLY doubt he would have the skill or intellect to take down even a quarter of the Sinister Six in that universe. Whereas Kraven just one tapped half of these guys in the Insomniac franchise. Which is the most powerful cityleveled iteration of these characters

One thing i don't quite get about Kraven immunizing himself to Scorpion's venom for his hunt. As far as i'm aware. Kraven is trying to find a thrilling hunt and fight. Wouldn't the risk of getting nicked with scorpion's venom and tripping out add to the thrill of it? Therefore making the hunt more thrilling. Immunizing yourself to one of your quarry's most used weapons seems counterproductive when the point is to have risk for reward.

Yeah, without a doubt Scorpion is their weakest and therefor would obviously be easy prey for Kraven to hunt much in the same way like Vulture, Shocker and Electro, which explains their adaptive hunting technology.
Huh? Scorpion is a very strong villain. He could've killed both spidermen, but he chose not to. He has superior strength, speed, and agility too. He's also my 3rd favorite spiderman villain 😢

This is hands down the most skilled and intelligent version of Kraven The Hunter. Idk if there are any crazy or absurdly powerful versions of him in the comics, but cinematically this guy is barely even human anymore. Ik in Spectacular Spider-Man he had got the radioactive spider-serum and turned into a mutated lion, but I HIGHLY doubt he would have the skill or intellect to take down even a quarter of the Sinister Six in that universe. Whereas Kraven just one tapped half of these guys in the Insomniac franchise. Which is the most powerful cityleveled iteration of these characters

He had this flower in his lab and the effects of it negates Scorpions poison Peter said himself he was trying to obtain it but it wasn't found in New York

One thing i don't quite get about Kraven immunizing himself to Scorpion's venom for his hunt.
As far as i'm aware. Kraven is trying to find a thrilling hunt and fight. Wouldn't the risk of getting nicked with scorpion's venom and tripping out add to the thrill of it? Therefore making the hunt more thrilling.
Immunizing yourself to one of your quarry's most used weapons seems counterproductive when the point is to have risk for reward.
