Thanks for this tutorial! Im waiting for another part to do the ILS / VOR approach. Been struggling to this as there’s discontinued waypoints in the final as well. Apparently there’s also a bug which the departure/arrival airport become “none” in the EFB not sure anyone encountered the same…
These videos are absolutely lifesaving in regard to using the Garmin systems. I appreciate you so much. Do you have experience with flight systems like the 737 Max and the Pilatus P-12 (I believe it is)? While I love using planes with the Garmin, I know eventually I'm going to have to learn how to use those other systems as well. Keep up the great work man, thank you!
Great video, does cancelling IFR Plan with ATC impact score such as company procedures and is it recommended for career mode? Taking penalties due to ATC bugs and ATC altitude issues while doing IFR. I went from S rating to B with charter because of airline procedures due to ATC glitches. For cargo it seems to be okay to cancel and go VFR, though most of the time it puts the score at 75% for company procedures even if you don't miss any calls and get 100% on aviator performance. Any guidance to best handle ATC in career mode would be great - thanks.
Can you cover the PC-12 eventually? I’m sure you know but it’s the next step after the Grand Caravan. Currently trying to learn it and there’s not many videos on it
Sometimes the approach button doesn't activate, and can't figure out what is wrong? When should you be able to press APR? Maybe you can do a video flying into KASE, it is a very hard place to land at for me. I havent gotten automated descent to work yet on that one.
Thanks for the video. I've got a little problem where when I enter the HQ screen, my aircraft disappears some other objects in the HQ like walls, etc. Has this happened to anyone before? It happened after I got es30. After a few days sold it, thinking it might fix the issue, but it did nothing.
It’ll supposedly limit the flaps to 50% in icing conditions, but doesn’t seem to. There’s also a related “reset IPS” button that isn’t functional in the MFD touchscreen under Aircraft Systems (if it was working, it would clear the warning). I just check for icing on the wings when seeing the warning, and then ignore it if icing isn’t present.
@KipOnTheGround ok, thank you for the answer. Btw you also struggle with the caravan to land? It seems to wobble a lot, specially if you use the brakes, and also very sensitive to wind.
I keep getting the flaps ice warning when landing, just like you did in this video. Is this normal? or just a bug in the sim where the ice protection is not functioning.
With the Vision jet it does not have IPS for the flaps. If you reference a note in the checklist, you will find that you should not use full flaps when in icing conditions. So most likely the aircraft is reminding you not to use full flaps due to icing conditions. You will get a warning message if you extend them to full flaps. Add about 10 knots to your Vref when landing with 50% flaps.
