I told my buddy that they should’ve kneeled down when it was 1st down in the red zone with 1 minute left on the goal line and give Mahomes minimum time to drive down the field. Should never give Mahomes time

@TheBeelzboss -yeah, he's the whole reason we picked up JT Sanders in the draft. Wish he hadn't been knocked out of the game. Who knows how it might have turned out?
This was the first game in years that I've been able to sit and watch beginning to end without getting up because not only was it fun to watch but it felt like we had a chance the entire time. Unquestionably the best game of BY's career. Desperado Dave is our coach for the long haul and I think we may actually have some light at the end of the tunnel finally. Edit: also gotta mention that not only did Sanders get hurt, but we were missing Coker #19 as well, he's shown a lot of promise and having him out there would have been awesome
That TE ball before the half in the redzone should have been a Ja'Tavion Sanders opportunity. Instead, he stayed inbounds and took a hit that got him out of the game. Insert a cold Tommy Tremble.
They really need more depth that can actually catch at TE. It's like they forgot the position can catch after Olsen left. Easier to teach a catching TE how to block decent then it is to teach a blocking TE to catch.
@@chucknv5482 idk if I would say that. They invested two 1st picks of the 4th round and a 3rd round pick on the position, which is pretty high in terms of draft capital. They just missed on two of the three.

That’s what we’ve been saying for the last 2 years and nobody believed us, lol. Year 1 he had metchie, jamo, and Brian Robinson but year 2 he had much less talent than most bama qb’s have had in the past. He and Gibbs were the entire offense in 2022 and not to mention how trash the offensive line was for both years. People always try to the pull out “he had talent at bama and that’s the only reason he looked better than he was and was drafted high” excuse and I just know those people have no idea what they’re talking about and didn’t watch bama in 2022.

When they had Chubba block on that zero coverage play in the 3rd quarter my thought was maybe they have the guy in his face be the one thats blocked because it creates more space for Bryce. He can't exactly throw it over anyone if he has someone if they are right in his face. I came away from this with anxiety over the feet lol. I just can't picture how you can play consistently well in the NFL on your toes. It would be like if an NBA player had some weird arm movement before every 3 pt shot. It makes it extremely hard to do it well every time. Not impossible, but extremely hard. Fun to see a good stat line for sure but in regard to developing into a big time NFL player, I am still solidly in the skeptical camp.
I like to imagine him with purdy under shanahan. Yes a 2 QB team, if you're hit bad the other takes over, attacking a little different to make up for the nuances

That said, between this and the full Bo Nix game against the Chiefs, I'm noticing that offenses are now doing a really good job getting guys very open against the Chiefs' defense in a way we weren't seeing at all to start the season. I'd be a bit worried about that.
Sean Payton has a way of exposing defenses over the years. As a good defensive unit, you hate to see him on your schedule because there is a decent change he is going to provide film on how to beat you moving forward.

BY had a very strong game on Sunday. But he certainly did not carry the team the previous two Sundays. He showed improvement and was serviceable on thr previous two Sundays. Yesterday he looked like an NFL quarterback.
He definitely has played much better. But we leaned heavy on the run against the saints and giants and our defense stepped up when we needed them. Not to take away from how much better he's been but he didn't carry those 2 games. Against the chiefs though, yeah he definitely carried the load for the offense all game and it was so nice to see him dropping passes in a bucket every single throw
@@robertvasquez1845 Giants game... Then another turd in the Saints game with multiple gift wrapped INTs dropped. He has been below average to downright awful in 2 of the last 3 games.
It sucks we lost sanders 0 on that hit but i hear he has control of his limbs so thank god for that. Also we were without our other young speedster coker. Plus they shut down our bread and butter run game so im extremely hopeful for the coming years FINALLY. we get a first rounder this year so the loss helps there. I like what dave and dan are cooking in carolina.
Is it just me, or does Bryce seem to throw with less velocity than any other starter in the league? I can't tell if maybe my eyes are deceiving me because he's a bit shorter, but I feel like some guys can't go a half without having a pass jump off the screen, whereas Bryce seems to go multiple games without one. (Not saying you need to have a giant arm to be successful-I think you can absolutely thrive on high-accuracy high-anticipation touch passes.)
Nah I think that's a very good point from ya'll. He doesn't have the velocity and for some reason it's never mentioned as a big reason for any struggles. Problem is he now HAS to make up for it by being outstanding in accuracy and anticipation. And it's a little dubious if you can do that enough to be a top QB without a big arm
@@whoop6377 I know I said this in another reply but Tua has done pretty well despite a notably lack of velocity/big arm. (Could also maybe count Purdy as someone who's excelled despite not having a big arm, although I think Purdy has a bigger arm than Young).
those first two throws is i think bryce being cautious and trying to give his guy a kind of a chance or no one. also the second one to moore would usually be coker whose 5 inches taller and has a huge vertical and probably would have went up there an got it
At 13:00 I think the reason they didn’t run the route you said would be better is because Bryce didnt have time. They are gonna be hurting after this game.

@@WerdUp13120 yards where? In the 3rd or 4th quarter? Put up 265 and what should have been 3 tuds
Thank god I hope he keeps the stride going
Need someone to do this for defense as well.
Not the biggest arm but he makes up for it with accuracy and anticipation
@@osirisapex7483 yeah seems very much like Tua in that sense. Not a ton of velocity but well-above-average accuracy/touch + anticipation.
@@whoop6377 Correct!Good point.
@@whoop6377 I know I said this in another reply but Tua has done pretty well despite a notably lack of velocity/big arm. (Could also maybe count Purdy as someone who's excelled despite not having a big arm, although I think Purdy has a bigger arm than Young).
those first two throws is i think bryce being cautious and trying to give his guy a kind of a chance or no one. also the second one to moore would usually be coker whose 5 inches taller and has a huge vertical and probably would have went up there an got it
Mahomes looked like the second year QB while Bryce was the defending Super Bowl champ
At 13:00 I think the reason they didn’t run the route you said would be better is because Bryce didnt have time. They are gonna be hurting after this game.
The word "Sabenease" makes me laugh every time
W JT needed this
Let’s go!

you love to see it!!!
