I think the biggest take-away from this is that Dalton is such a vet that he knows when someone is going to be open and shoots the ball out before it's too late. It's the difference between reading the defense and reacting to the defense. Timing is everything in the nfl

This is easily the best pass protection in the league. They have played against Cam Jordan, Joey Bosa, Mack, Crosby, among others with indecisive Bryce Young and they have let up very little pressure at all. Bryce did run right into a sack from bosa because he has poor awareness. It is what it is.
Think that is a side effect of him getting sacked so much last season he doesn't trust his line even tho they are much better this year. Hopefully he can sit back learn from Andy

It was clear to me Dalton was a good QB with a bad OC, a bad line and a poor WR corps.

12:50 Xavier Leggette has some wheels right here. One of the fastest runs in the NFL so far this season. Imagine if that safety didn't have that perfect angle and a 20 yard cushion. I think he is big plays waiting to happen with thielen being on IR now.

This is a thing. Bryce Young is short to be a NFL QB. The last person who was that short was good at being QB was Brees and He was a rarity even back then.
Bryce's biggest weakness is his arm. If he could throw deeper and add ball speed he could be an NFL QB

I agree size is a factor but it does seem like Bryce’s lack of awareness, limited arm strength and nonchalant demeanor in the pocket are his biggest weaknesses.

I saw this coming 🙋🏾♂️Our WRs have been open all year. Bryce just can’t read coverages and would constantly run out of clean pockets and into sacks. Anyone actually watching Carolina would know Bryce is the problem.
A lot of these throws were made in really, really tight coverage, that like JB said, probably should've been picked. I hope Dalton keeps it up this weekend, but I think the routes need to get better from these receivers so Dalton doesn't have to make these absurdly hard throws all of the time.
Right, it's just a matter of whether or not Canales can fix him at this point.
To your point around 31 minutes in about him "skipping" through reads, sure he may not have got the most optimal target there, but it's a positive completion and keeps momentum going. Quick and decisive and positive, Young has had absolutely none of that and it's a breath of fresh air to see this offense move.
On that Thielen TD the safety that blows it takes the slightest step to the right towards Mingo as the ball gets released. He never recovers after shifting his weight.

I think Dalton mentioned after the game that when he threw that td pass to Thielen all he thought was 'please ball, get over the safety'. Yeah, the pass to Mingo would have had a much higher success rate
Tremble had some great blocks. Not just the pass at 17:59, but the knockdown around 25:42 as well.
I got to admit this seemed like a very tough video for you to do. In the end, just admit it, many people were dead wrong about BY NFL prospects. All the blame game of “it’s the OL, receivers are not separating, who you gonna throw it to. You throw them open, that is what you do. Is this the last we hear of BY? Perhaps. Perhaps deservingly so.

That tuddy before half time where you mention the ball has to go to the middle of the field, the safety was expecting the same and froze when Dalton began his throw. I am pretty sure the safety is well positioned and can cover the distance to break it up on the post. But that one moment of his hips squared up made it tough on the safety to go back to left and behind. I could be totally speculating but that's how i saw it.
Raider fans are still hurting 😢.
There were penalties that the raiders committed that wasn't called. But, so happy for Dalton, hope he keeps it up!

Having watched Russell Wilson a lot in Seattle over the years, he was able to overcome his height by sheer hard work in learning his craft, learning how to make throws with anticipation, knowing when to run, finding lanes, etc. He is more mobile than Bryce, yes, but the fact that 1 year in Bryce didn't know how to make the majority of the throws given his height etc, shows you he hasn't put in the work, sorry to say. Most throws that Dalton made could have been made by Bryce.

@@davidcook7847I don’t 100% agree. If you watch the safety is actually shifting inside towards mingo and once the ball is released he has to adjust to thielen which makes him late and the ball is thrown over the top. I think the read is fine

I notice the left guard still taps the center right before the QB is going to snap. I noticed it in the week 1 vid about bryce young and thought it might have been something they were doing for him, but they still do it with dalton. I dunno if I've ever seen it before, and wonder if that's something defenses will learn to jump on.

With Bryce playing last week and Andy this week, it was easy to see the difference. Bryce just can’t see these receivers routes down field. I would like to see this channel do comparisons of each qb running the same play. I hate bashing Bryce but it’s time to move on.

Two years of being over hyped about first Fields and now Williams, i was interested in how much better Panthers would look with a good QB. Last year everyone was blamed for Fields losing until Bagent came in and started winning, showing the Oline and coaches weren't as bad as Chicago media said they were. Hopefully Bagent gets in soon because I'd like to see my Bears look this good with a competent QB running the offense. Looking forward to your Bears all 22 vs the Colt's!!
Whoever doubted Sam Darnold should apologize right now publicly. I never doubted Sam cause he was always an elite QB who never got a fair shot until now.
As a Raider fan I have to credit Dalton and Carolina, they came to play. But I cannot recall a more anemic performance from the Raiders in years, maybe ever. This is worse than the loss to the Colts last year, or Baker Mayfield walking in off the street for the Rams. Those games were at least close. But the Raiders have no one to blame but themselves. One team came to play, and it wasn't them.

At 25:00 I think the safety didn't come out break so the one on rhythm was Adam to me because when he looked and opened hips to pass safety shift and started running so in game speed either way but safety had better angle on Mingo to me in real game speed... things not slow down out there so in game speed I agree but to diss agree with just one thing... big fan I love your videos though...best game film reactions
