Man, I wish I were a teen or in my early 20s in this time in Japan. It must have been so much fun to learn all these para para dances and dance them with your friends at clubs, concerts, etc. I have such nostalgia for late 90s/early 2000s Japan. I think it's when games like DDR came to the US and I had discovered Japanese street fashion and gyaru, so it really makes me wish I could have been the appropriate age to experience all this myself. I was playing Gas Gas Gas, and one other sailor said he knew this song because his older brother played it...........😮 So at least there are some people in Virginia that listen to Eurobeat 🎉

the original eurobeat in the 70s early 80s was big in italy. it died by late 80s, in the early 90s several artists kept going and japan discovered them. They used it for night clubs and stuff since japan was hitting their disco era. Then mid 90s to late 90s, many eurobeat record labels consolidated and sold exclusively to japan. They pumped out an album every month some times 2. It was a factory machine, tons of songs were created from dozens of artists/producers. Then shipped off to japan for what ever use. Video games, anime, clubs, bars, tv shows. The japanese didn't have modern quality music at the time and was still pretty old, even after going past the disco era. So yeah by the 90s edm was and disco was pretty dead in europe. Never came back, till late 90s early 2k, when DJ's started really blowing up instead of being underground. They had tv shows and started a revolution for EDM. Disco was for ever forgotten a long with eurobeat.

vol.90の頃にはイニシャルDで使われた曲が軒並みラインナップされ、3枚目にはJ-POPをSEBアレンジしてSEB歌手がカバーしたCDも付き、ブームが近い内に来るであろう兆しがあった
SEBが再ブームになると、安室奈美恵やMAX、V6等が楽曲提供を受けたりしたことも分かり、とても身近になった
最終的にブームはvol.110発売くらいでピークを迎えるわけだけど、当時は他にダンスゲームDDRのダンスマニアと、ビートマニア等のクラブシーン彩る様々な音楽ジャンルが溢れていて、後にトランスやテクノのCDも注目された
