Though not still as relevant the ratio of 2-1-2 is the area code for Manhattan which made it easy to remember a few decades ago. I love the drink and when I make it at home I build in glass with ice. The first few sips are potent and the last few diluted but that is fine for me to unwinded a long evening. Great Video!!
@@stephane.foisy.186 that’s a great rhythm and way to remember! I’ll have to try building it in a glass: I do it all the time with old fashioned’s so why not!
Not a big cocktail drinker I'm a diabetic and these are all just to sweet and I will never drink diet anything. But knowing how to make decent cocktails is great for guest. Enjoy!!
That looks yummy!! Love the piano music too!!
@@GayleColeman-f6q agreed! It’s quite soothing for an elegant looking cocktail 🍸
I love the ruby red colour of the drink as much as the garnish, yum! Thanks for the pro tip on the vermouth 👌🏼
You’re welcome! Yes, it’s aesthetically very pleasing

@@umami0247 I wonder if you could try a dirty martini? It would be mostly the calories of the vodka as the olive brine would be negligible. Cheers!
