    Your grass is looking good!
You are right. Most things worth having take effort, time, and patience.
Keep up the good work! Excited to see your herd grow.

Spray mcpa in early summer, then graze after 7 odd days, the mcpa activates sugar in plants, stock eat it like mad, you will probably only have to do it once, crash graze after that and spread clover seeds if possible. Doing well!!!

@@carterjamesranch id get a contractor in with a boom and hit them once, in oz a spring spray works best, i dont spray every year because weeds just come back, i try get grass n clover growing in its place, Nitrogen from clover feeds the grass.

Oh and be careful to plan feed, if its all weeds then dont want to run short as they will be dead.

I recognized a weed in your pastures that we have began to spot spray because we've tried everything else to get rid of it here in Missouri. It's called Wild White Indigo. It's bluish green with a tall tough stem that branches out with limbs and leaves like a little tree. As it matures, the stem grows up through the canopy a foot or so then produces white flowers that turns to large seed pods.
When it first emerges our sheep nibble it but after that it becomes quite toxic especially to calves that are eating hay that is laced with it.
The plant spreads by seeds and rihsomes. So we began cutting it to about 5" and treat each stem w/a 5-1 diesel fuel and Crossbow mix, hoping it soakes down into the rihsome. At the same time, I cut and hit the thorny locust. It's tedious but the 10 acres we've done so far is very effective. Other than thistles our hair sheep clean up all other weeds

What herbicide are you using to spray the Sericea lespedeza?
