nice lessons and videos by edureka and cloudera.follow them.with 3x replica as we know about hadoop, we don't need to worry about the size.size can be increased by adding nodes to the existing clusters.

I have never worked on Java though I am familiar with OOPS concept. Can you share, how heavily and frequently java codes are used for Hadoop processing, if I want to be a business analyst or DevOps engineer ?
Hi Jagpreet ! To learn Hadoop you should have good knowledge of OOP concepts and Collection concept. However, If you don't Java you can use any other programming language like Python, Ruby etc . For more details you can write back to us at support@edureka.co.
***** Why use map reduce where we can make use of hive or pig for almost the same purpose with the help of sql which is much easier to code and learn. Please help me out ..am also not familiar with java but know python
Hey Chaitanya, thanks for checking out our tutorial. While our TH-cam tutorials will give you a good introduction to Big Data and Hadoop, you will need a structured training and hands-on practice to truly master it and become a Hadoop Developer. Our course will help you with this; it includes assignments after each module and a project towards the end of the course. Also, as these are pre-recorded videos on TH-cam, you will not get the benefit of the instructor's experience through doubt clearance. On the contrary, our course is conducted live and comes with 24x7 support and lifetime access to learning material and support. Also, you will get to interact with the instructor in class and learn from their real-world expertise. You can check out our course here: www.edureka.co/big-data-and-hadoop. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Hello Sir, Your lectures are great! I I have a few questions that I wanted to ask you that the video number 67 in your playlist is showing deleted and number 68 is of 30 seconds? Why so? Also, How many videos will be there approximately in this series? And my last question is, Is there any specific OS which I should use to learn about Hadoop? I use ubuntu 12.04 I am excited to learn Hadoop from your series. Thank You! :)
Hello Ram! We appreciate your interests in our videos. Hadoop is compatible with all the types of OS. You can take a look at our series of Hadoop videos th-cam.com/play/PL9ooVrP1hQOFrYxqxb0NJCdCABPZNo0pD.html We hope this helps. Thank you!
I saw video of edureka and that helped me alot. but i have some doubts. 1. MapReduce :- does it maps helping verb ,articles and pronouns etc.. 2. Hadoop:- actually data is very big now a days that's why we called it bigdata, but hadoop stores data in form of 3X replica. if data is already so big and we are storing its replica also, it will increase its size. so, is it good to use this and if not then which file system is good for big data. If u will reply me, it will help alot.
+archana Harit hii archana , hadoop use 3XREPLICA but it is not processed all time , it will be use when any one node data will corrupt due to any reason, hadoop is mainly used for fast processing.
+archana Harit Thats the beauty of Hadoop. I had the same question before that with 3X, the size will be increased even more. The answer is, in the world of Hadoop, we are not being concerned about the memory or size anymore. We have unlimited amount of storage here. (By adding the number of nodes to existing cluster)
