    Cannolis are my favorite dessert, and I'm pretty picky about them, so I needed to learn how to make them perfect. I followed your video and made them twice now and I must say O..M...G. These cannolis are amazing! Everyone I shared them with also agreed!
    Honestly I was super impressed by how they tasted like they came from bakery.
    I thought I'd have to try a few different videos to get achieve the perfect cannoli, but this one nailed it!
    Thank you!

    Thank you so much for the recipe! They were a hit- I do custodial work at a hospital and left these in the Nurse's break room... it was like a magic show, one minute the tray was there the next minute the gluttons ate them all! Congratulations on a fantastic recipe and instructional video! I used the food processor to make the dough for shells and it worked perfectly and the instructions for using the pasta machine made the whole thing a breeze. My girlfriend insisted I buy the pasta machine at a thrift store a month ago altho' I had no intention of using one until recently when I decided to try my hand at cannolli's. I just took a break from frying up the shells and they are turning out beautifully and the taste is without compare! Thank you sooooo much for showing me how to do this, I'm having a blast! Everyone, follow her recipe and instructions to a T and you will be delighted too!

    If you don't have a cookie cutter, you can actually just use one of those large, 28 oz. cans of San Marzano tomatoes...... emptied and cleaned, of course. Just use a can opener and remove the top and bottom of the can so all you'd be left with is a hollow cylinder. The diameter of the top and bottom of the can is exactly 4 inches, so it should be the perfect size for the cannoli dowels (tubes/molds).

    I just made them tonight! Thank you they were delicious! How do I store the shells and do they last a month?
    My dad and I used to make them And I remember him keeping them in a box. Would it be stored with a lid?

    • @ladolcelisa
      @ladolcelisa  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mary! That is very sweet that your dad made cannoli. I’m also glad you enjoyed these! You can store the shells without filling for about a week or so in an airtight container, so with the lid on. You can also freeze the shells if you need them to last longer. As long as the filling isn’t inside, or else they will get very soft. I like to eat these freshly fried and piped straight away for maximum crisp. 🤗

    This is the way i make it but i find Better not to use Icing sugar but rather caster sugar...also Cinnamon Oil instead of the powder and i use Vanilla Pure extract in with mine and last i add crushed Chocolate flakes, i find the chips like bullets. But very good.

    • @ladolcelisa
      @ladolcelisa  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jack Caminiti I agree with the chocolate flakes, I cut up a bit because I ran out of the chips once and I liked it even more. I have never tried caster sugar for the top.. Sounds interesting. Another way is I rolled the dough on the thinnest notch and liked it a lot as well, very thin and crisp! 😉

    • @jackcaminiti3744
      @jackcaminiti3744 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ladolcelisa Yes your style is very similar to mine...not many like us. The Icing sugar i find too sweet in the mix with the ricotta this is where i use caster. I use the icing sugar for the top. I use about 1/3 caster to the ricotta, 1/3 Mascarpone...icing sugar for top on shell Yummy

    Shouldn't rely on food processors too much. Do not take the shortcut of not passing the Ricotta through a sieve as this will make it so much smoother whether you mix another cheese in or not. As you can see before the chocolate chips are added it looks too wet and lumpy

    • @ladolcelisa
      @ladolcelisa  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was not wet and lumpy at all, the mascarpone makes it very thick if anything. If using only ricotta yes, you can use a sieve, but in this case completely unnecessary. 😊
