Just for the record - the idea for this particular record, which I co-produced with Phil Larsen in 1996, came when my wife of the time Anne Hamilton sang it at an Irish wedding in Watford, England. The crowd went mental and so, shortly afterwards, Anne, Phil and I put it together in my studio (EQ Studios) - also in Watford. My main contribution to the process was the fiddle solo, Anne sang it and Phil arranged and mixed it (on his Akai sampler!). Also for the record, I (John) am Scottish, Anne is English and Phil is half-Danish!

It's uncommon to cry at such a joyful song. But this song has been my childhood.
PROUD TO BE IRISH! HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY!💚💚💚💚
It hits me the Irish could have a hell out of a German-Oktoberfest-like festival which wouldn't be anything but awesome.
You guys got the traditional clothing, dance, music and beer, haven't you?
An Irish Oktoberfest? Best. Idea. Ever!
