if you think you had a battle looking for a single song. I have got you beat by 27 years. My mom used to play this tape of bert kaempfert all the time . I found the album set of bert kaempfert at a thrift shop. I have snagged it fast. They are close to mint condition.
Mum or ma not mom

Mom...
"Holy shite". "Holy shite". That was so awkward. Stop trying to shove it down our throats that you are irish. Nobody cares
Not Irish ..... but proud ....... listen to these songs and enjoy I love and admire all cultures and religions....... no discrimination.

In the early 2000s, I had all those "NOW this is what I call music" CDs and this was the most played song on all of them because I LOVED this song when I was a little kid haha. I think its the only song I've ever willingly danced to. But I forgot about it and I've been trying to find it for YEARS. I woke up this morning and randomly remembered the lyrics again and searched it, I'm so happy I finally found it 💛
Glad you found it again 😀
Oh those CDs! That takes me back. My memory was the embarrassment when Mum first heard "Bad Touch"...
So happy u finally found it again
No xx
@@JavertRAoh the trouble my music taste got me into... mum hated rock and metal, i was super into punk. All the naughty words in those songs did not help me at all🤣🤣
It's not an Irish wedding until everyone is drunk and dancing to this song
I agree
Haha so true
Hi I'm Irish and that's mostly true
I'm i8
+NuclearGaming It seems that I'm not the only Irish person here.
I'm Irish and proud. Current living in England and I'm proud. Growing up in Ireland was a great experience.
Like if you're Irish and proud!!
+Anime Pops! I'm was born In Ireland but now I live in Engalnd, Irish and Proud !
+Chloe Da blue queen yeah me too! I grew up and was born in Ireland! And I'm Irish and proud!
I am not Irish, but I would rather like the video since it is very well done. If I was Irish, I would know a lot more about it, sadly not Irish.
Stereotypical Irishman here. Born and raise in a pub in northern Dublin. I'm proud to be Irish. Not too proud to be living in america
+Anime Pops! i'm not Irish, or English, but i'm french, and proud to listen to Irish songs, Da Vinci's Notebook, Irish Rovers, and now ... SHAM ROCK ! i went in Ireland once, best school trip of my life, the only problem is the price of the boat, so i might look for a plane ticket on 17th march :P
This screams caravan park holidays in the clubhouse, dad pissed up making a twat of himself dancing, mum sat at the table FUMING at him ahh nostalgia
You should see nana after she's had a few whiskeys and granda has had a few pints of gat
God forbid they pull out the karaoke machine XD
Ye that's what it reminded me of too lol 😂🇨🇮🇨🇮

I have listened to irish music my whole life.. i went to an irish celtic concert the other day.. and one of the bands reminded me of this song.. then after that my mother and i grabbed this cd and put this exact song and havent stopped listening to this song since then... and my cousin and i are making a "homade" irish jig and having fun... thank you memories and irish songs and pubs
Every. Single. Irish. Family. Event.
If this isn’t played, you are not okay.
I've been to Irish weddings in Ireland this had never been played. At English-Irish weddings in England, they're played for half the night. This played twice at my Uncle's wedding and the atmosphere was euphoric.

Proper tune, but sad also because she’s not here anymore😪🙌🏻

@@L.C123 unfortunately I have been to Ireland for only 2 days and I didn't get a chance to see more. However I want to move there and stay for a few months when this pandemic is over so I believe I will see and experience more soon because I'd like to visit Galway and other cities which I'm not able to spell it right now :(. I didn't go to the pub you mentioned because I knew that place would be overpriced and I prefer pubs which are more local than famous. I'm not sure if I expressed my feelings right as my English is limited but I hope you know what I mean :)
I played this song in June when I finished college and my teacher who is Irish loves this song

I’m from wales, love Celtic music, especially the Irish songs, if you want a party, get an Irish woman or man , get the the Celtic nations together and some mad English people involved and the Brits and the southern Irish together, then it’s a party whatever the location.
A warning; we will get drunk
Me too! 🏴
Who cares if I'm Italian, when I'm alone at home I sing this song so loudly... I'm crazy.

Just for the record - the idea for this particular record, which I co-produced with Phil Larsen in 1996, came when my wife of the time Anne Hamilton sang it at an Irish wedding in Watford, England. The crowd went mental and so, shortly afterwards, Anne, Phil and I put it together in my studio (EQ Studios) - also in Watford. My main contribution to the process was the fiddle solo, Anne sang it and Phil arranged and mixed it (on his Akai sampler!). Also for the record, I (John) am Scottish, Anne is English and Phil is half-Danish!
I bet not many people know that John!
Never knew that - well done John, Anne and Phil - Iontach !!
Great!!!

I just heard this song for the first time today and I fell in love with it!! I didn't rest until I found it! Volume way up!!
Apparently this song is played at Irish weddings. HOW DO I GET INVITED?
Marry into an irish family that should work
Just turn up. Honestly!
at irish weddings half the people dont know eachother, even the bride and groom dont know half the people, the guests invite their own mates so nobody would question if there was a donkey there, so just come to ireland and walk into a wedding cathedral, chances are therell be a wedding happening there from 4pm to 4am
@@batteryacid4706 yeah no that would be like the WORST thing to do ...what a load of rubbish
