I felt this souly. My mom fat shamed me all of my life and it’s been really hard to see my body as beautiful. But I’m working on it. I have always been on the thicker side. I’m only 184 pounds. I was 197 but I started to actually cut out fast food and junk food and I’m happy for that. I use to binge eat junk food all the time cause my mom would enable me to eat junk food but then call me tubby or fatty. But I’m getting better now and I’m doing my best to heal from it. Tbh... I can relate to this song... When I was 12 appearance was everything in my school and all the girls were just under control by these brands, trends and beauty... And u was sadly a victim to those types of obsessions... And I tried to look and be skinny until I fainted nearly 2 a day from starvation... I almost died... So I can relate to this song...kinda...

As an originally born female(now out of the closet non-binary) this hit very close to home, at a young age I was told I had to be perfect for boys...I was told to be lady like and look innocent yet provocative, I used to fit into a mold that was ever growing until I couldn't anymore...so I let myself be...well...myself. And the way you sang it makes it even better
