I was playing for Belleville, next week, traded to Kitchener and the guy who punched the ref was in my "new high school." Played Jr B for St Mikes, played in Trenton and they were buring effigies of St Mike's players in the parking lot. Up in the Sault, tires to our bus were slashed (Kitchener). Windsor, some fan threw a set of keys at me. Hope it was his spare... In Belleville, our tough guy was suspended so he bought the 50-50 in the stands and won! Was able to have his gf visit. So many hilarious memories...

It's potentially 1 step down from the NHL in the case of players who make a roster straight out of a draft. But ya obviously most players don't make it that far, but it's very high level hockey and closer to the NHL than it gets credit for.
