The editing for this was SO EXCELLENTLY DONE! Especially the moment when the reactions rapidly flipped by during Ganondorf's scream. I swear HMK's scream was given some reverb there, & it only made it all that much better!🤣
There was indeed reverb added to that hahaha! That part was so hard cuz literally almost everyone had a very great visual reaction to put in, but I didn't want to resort to putting them all on screen at once. So we came to a quick speed montage of 5 of them with basically DBG and HMK being the audio.
As a Japanese person, I am happy to see so much interest in The Legend of Zelda. It's only a few minutes of video, but as a Japanese person, I can clearly see that the development team put their heart and soul into creating both the visuals and music. Right?! I went into the trailer with expectations, thinking "There's no way it can ever be as good as the 2017 presentation trailer" but man I was wrong and I'm glad! 😊 I like this one a lot but the first one is more precious to me cuz it had the Nintendo shop briefly and a lot of the reactors were more full frame rather than minimized which I guess is a modern thing but it still turned out great here! Oh yeah not as many tears either

Fun fact, I originally posted the Botw one right after the trailer went up in 2017, but a hacker destroyed my channel and I had to reupload it 3 years later. I’m so happy it still managed to keep going strong and get back to the status is had before
I revisit this video every once in a while. I'm happy that this game won best action/adventure game on game awards. It didn't win goty, but that's more than enough. This game deserves all the love it has gotten so far ♡

The best trailer reactions compilation. I usually don't like it because most people only dump everyone so their voices clash with each other and the trailer. But this one is perfect. It lets you feel other people's reactions but still lets you enjoy the trailer.

First BOTW, now this, you're just the king of reaction mash-ups! Just like with Ganondorf, I could not look away. Only slight disappointment was no Zeltik, but he's so big already he doesn't need the promotion. Wish KingMeach would do a TOTK reaction, he was my favorite part of the BOTW mash-up with how hard he vibed to the music.
This is 2017 all over again. Same crazy emotions and tears. Zelda is just the greatest franchise ever ! Still getting goosebumps watching both trailers. Damn !

I think this is as amazing as a trailer can get it gave everyone some of what they wanted and even things they didn't know they needed and proved the sheer magnitude of what this game will be I dare say it was perfect.
It was super awesome as a sequel trailer specifically for sure. The first trailer has much more build up and calm to introduce us to its world but this didn’t have to do that so it’s much more epic

I'm sorry, but even as a lifelong Zelda fanatic, I can't agree with this. Don't get me wrong, it was super fun, and the abilities were game-changing. (although sometimes half-baked with fuse's arrow UI and Ultrahand's inherent flaws pushing "dominant strategies" and hesitancy with experimentation due to the need to conserve resources) I just didn't like the story. (i.e. my main draw to Zelda) The repetitive Imprisoning War cutscenes from each of the first champions, the arduous send-off for Mineru despite never getting the chance to care about her character, the frustrating inability for Link to call out Puppet Zelda even after seeing all the Dragon Tears, and their audacity to give more questions than answers in a rare direct sequel after a 6-year long Zelda drought. (Aside from 2 remakes/remasters and a Hyrule Warriors (that has a more cohesive story and satisfying conclusion than both BOTW and TOTK)) I know that open-air game design doesn't lend itself well to the linear epics seen in past 3D Zeldas, and I'm guessing that quite a few corners were cut in order to make the deadline. For example, Mineru was probably meant to be a companion character but was scrapped at some point and just left to be dormant within the Purah Pad until the story deemed her necessary. Also yeah, they better provide some concrete answers on how the Zonai play into everything and where Zelda traveled to in the timeline. I know they just really regret creating a restrictive timeline, but they shouldn't be able to just (potentially) uproot the entire lore, and reuse scene choreography from other games, and not explain a single thing or give any hope for answers in the future. They CAN certainly do it, but it's just really disrespectful to everyone who actually cares about that stuff. It's not like they aren't aware of how there are entire communities dedicated to theorizing and piecing together lore. TL;DR: I love ToTK, but it's not perfect. I love BoTW more (better self-contained narrative and gameplay balance) and I certainly love other 3D and 2D Zelda games a hell of a lot more. Hopefully ToTK had to walk in order for the next open-air title to run. (similar to how some describe its relationship with BoTW)
@@TheNintendoGamer64 Here's the thing, despite my age being in the early 30's, BOTW and TOTK were and still are the only Zelda games I have ever actually played. The others were either always on systems I didn't own or simply never caught my interest at that time. So, I won't dismiss your opinion but merely modify it with my own just being that I am not comparing them to other Zelda games but rather to games as a whole. In comparison to other adventure or open world games, these two are the best I've played and enjoyed their mechanics the most.
@RoxRock4ever No argument here; there's a reason why I've put over 500 hours into BOTW alone. You're absolutely right, in regards to 99% of games; ToTK is a masterpiece. I just think if you ever decide to go through the back catalogue, you'll understand what I'm talking about. Though approaching the series from the BoTW era first might provide a different experience that I can't appreciate!

First BOTW, now this, you're just the king of reaction mash-ups! Just like with Ganondorf, I could not look away. Only slight disappointment was no Zeltik, but he's so big already he doesn't need the promotion. Wish KingMeach would do a TOTK reaction, he was my favorite part of the BOTW mash-up with how hard he vibed to the music.

I think this is as amazing as a trailer can get it gave everyone some of what they wanted and even things they didn't know they needed and proved the sheer magnitude of what this game will be I dare say it was perfect.
It was super awesome as a sequel trailer specifically for sure. The first trailer has much more build up and calm to introduce us to its world but this didn’t have to do that so it’s much more epic

I'm sorry, but even as a lifelong Zelda fanatic, I can't agree with this.
Don't get me wrong, it was super fun, and the abilities were game-changing. (although sometimes half-baked with fuse's arrow UI and Ultrahand's inherent flaws pushing "dominant strategies" and hesitancy with experimentation due to the need to conserve resources)
I just didn't like the story. (i.e. my main draw to Zelda)
The repetitive Imprisoning War cutscenes from each of the first champions, the arduous send-off for Mineru despite never getting the chance to care about her character, the frustrating inability for Link to call out Puppet Zelda even after seeing all the Dragon Tears, and their audacity to give more questions than answers in a rare direct sequel after a 6-year long Zelda drought. (Aside from 2 remakes/remasters and a Hyrule Warriors (that has a more cohesive story and satisfying conclusion than both BOTW and TOTK))
I know that open-air game design doesn't lend itself well to the linear epics seen in past 3D Zeldas, and I'm guessing that quite a few corners were cut in order to make the deadline.
For example, Mineru was probably meant to be a companion character but was scrapped at some point and just left to be dormant within the Purah Pad until the story deemed her necessary.
Also yeah, they better provide some concrete answers on how the Zonai play into everything and where Zelda traveled to in the timeline.
I know they just really regret creating a restrictive timeline, but they shouldn't be able to just (potentially) uproot the entire lore, and reuse scene choreography from other games, and not explain a single thing or give any hope for answers in the future.
They CAN certainly do it, but it's just really disrespectful to everyone who actually cares about that stuff. It's not like they aren't aware of how there are entire communities dedicated to theorizing and piecing together lore.
TL;DR: I love ToTK, but it's not perfect. I love BoTW more (better self-contained narrative and gameplay balance) and I certainly love other 3D and 2D Zelda games a hell of a lot more. Hopefully ToTK had to walk in order for the next open-air title to run. (similar to how some describe its relationship with BoTW)
@@TheNintendoGamer64 Here's the thing, despite my age being in the early 30's, BOTW and TOTK were and still are the only Zelda games I have ever actually played. The others were either always on systems I didn't own or simply never caught my interest at that time.
So, I won't dismiss your opinion but merely modify it with my own just being that I am not comparing them to other Zelda games but rather to games as a whole. In comparison to other adventure or open world games, these two are the best I've played and enjoyed their mechanics the most.

You're absolutely right, in regards to 99% of games; ToTK is a masterpiece. I just think if you ever decide to go through the back catalogue, you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Though approaching the series from the BoTW era first might provide a different experience that I can't appreciate!
