I used to have TH-cam premium but had to cancel it because I couldn't afford it anymore. When I had it though playlists would play all the way through without interruptions but now that I don't have it it seems like they pause every 20 minutes to ask if I'm still watching. It makes it pretty clear to me that they just want to make sure you're awake and paying attention to their stupid commercials!
That there isnt an option to simply and easily turn this function off shows how little youtube cares about the platforms users - its such an obvious problem to fix. I'm just trying to nap while listening to an album now I'm trying to research how to fix an annoyance.

I sometimes need a little extra help figuring these things out due to my autism. There are sleep videos that really help me sleep (I was shocked and didn't put much faith into it) but my nightmares returned as soon as the video pauses.
TH-cam Vanced already block the auto paused, as I tested that after 5hrs of music video playing. Idk if this could work after chrome-cast to Nintendo or not because I don’t have one, but you can give it a chance. Let me know once it’s solved :) Hope you have a well sleep too!

Mine does the same thing but it's on my Motorola g pure phone. And no way around it. I'm trying to enjoy a deep meditation and at 20 minutes in it stops everything and says continue? For which I have no choice but to reach over and turn it to "yes" which completely ruins the meditation experience.
The amazing thing is youtube has still not corrected this fault in 2024. If someone has to go to the trouble to create an extension to fix it, it is obviously a major flaw.

The "non-stop" addon seems a great idea. Simple. But only exists for desktop. Not for android firefox. So, perhaps my best solution is to go full screen? Another issue with addons can be security. So asdons are just platforms for Spyware and aware much in the same ways cookies can be used to disseminate data from your phone about how it is used, for advertisers. So really the addonsappears to serve you, buy is actually SELLING your data. In effect it makes YOU the product. Which is another reason I use Firefox as you can customize it greatly to prevent all this. I Will not use for example TH-cam app, Facebook, Twitter, tik tok, etc. Much for the same resson. Using these devices subverts everyone you know. Feeding the beast. But back to my point. The non-stop TH-cam addons I have found only seem to work for desktop, and not Android browsers. So I am left with kne solution: FULL SCREEN. Why doesn't TH-cam for mobile, or desktop not have a page setting for stopping this any way?

TH-cam continues to do this. Lots find it annoying and maybe just maybe find another way and figure out a playlist without steaming outside youtube. It is something you are more in control of is the solution to this.

If i come back to youtube...the video i was watching is in a smaller pop up video in the lower right corner of the page. I always have to click and close that. This plug in does not deiable that. I've been looking into that, too, and it looks like there's no fix. Both are long-standing problems, both ask if you want to continue watching the video, neither has a setting to turn off the annoying feature, and TH-cam hasn't done anything about either in years. It's so pissing annoying.
im just gonna download music to an external MP3 player and stop using youtube for music. I can just record internal audio seamlessly in HQ anyway. Sorry youtube, but I'm never going to give you any money ever.
