- In this glitter pen tutorial, i will walk through how to make a waterslide wrap for your pens! There are loads of ways to decorate your glitter pen but waterslide wraps are easy and use less coats of brite tone! This tutorial will use silhouette studio to create but you can use whatever software you prefer!

Do you epoxy before adding waterslide ? To make sure it’s a smooth surface ?
I don’t think she uses epoxy.
Do u have to sand the pen prior ? Or prime it ?
where do you find your pens with out the clips on them . how do you put glitter on the pens before you put waterslide on it.

Do I need to print these mirrored? I’m using Silhouette as well. Love that you use it - everyone seems to have a Cricut but I love my Cameo 4!
I never mirror my waterslides! however, some people swear by that method...so really personal preference! And i'm glad to hear that!! I just upgraded to the cameo 4 from my cameo 3!
I have a 3 is there a lot of advantage to getting the 4?

I don't but you should be able to just resize the image in there!
I sealed my waterslide with 3-4 passes of sealant. This seemed to make it kind of think and it didn’t want to stick to the wet pen. I had to almost hold it down and it was still lifting as it dried. I eventually added a layer of BT and then applied the waterslide. Now it is not smooth and I can feel the waterslide. Do I just keep adding layers of BT with light sanding every 3/4 coats? Or should I just remove the waterslide, if I can, and try again?
@Allison Crafts - Any idea why my waterslide won't stick to my pen?? Could it be that I didn't wet my pen first?
What was the size for the pens?
Is it possible that the white spots on the animal print not be there.. can that be preventable?!

Do you know if you can get refills for these pens...I checked Amazon and they wanted $17 for 3 refills which I thought was a little outrageous. You can buy a whole box of them for that and just remove the ink cartridge and throw away the pen!

Yes, you need a smooth surface before you add any decals!
Is bright tone safer to use than resin?
yes very much so.

I just have the rectangle so I can make sure it's the right size. The rectangle doesn't serve any other purpose
