Nice upload ....was contemplating whether to get electric or petrol as some of the petrol ones are pretty expensive for a DIY patio job but this Aldi one looks to be ideal for my needs 👏

Looked the other day and they are £299, thing i really liked about mine was the low compression start.

Cheers for this mate, just bought one myself price seemed too good to be true but this video has settled my mind! Quality bit of kit for the money, everywhere else is miles more expensive for the same kit

Sounds like the carb has bunged up with old fuel.

These claim to whack down 200mm at a time. Would they be any good to compress 400mm of clay and then type 1 around a house build to bring up the outside ground level if it was done in layers?

Is that any good? Are you happy with the compacting level?

Only compacted 40mm scalpings and road plannings but happy so far.

Hi, I picked one of these last week set it all up and tried using it today. But didn’t want to turn over.. was there anything you done different when first using it?

    • @fiveminuteman

Mine needed engine oil after delivery and dont forget to switch it on - big red switch on engine. Mine needed a bit of choke to get going from memory.👍

Yeah it’s all ready to go and switched on just didn’t seem to want to turn over, was hoping just needed bit of time to get to fuel to pull through.

Nice, just ordered one they are £250 now but screwfix charge double that.
Not that much more than a electric one and much more capable.
      Thanks for the video.

I have this and it does the job but is absolutely murder to start.
Having to flood it then start it with the fuel off then gradually switching the fuel back on again to keep it idling.
Right now if done half a garden and it won’t start all day.

Sounds like carb issues, i've stopped using e10 fuel and now use BP Ultimate or any premium fuel as it has less ethanol in it. I remember mine being fairly easy to start. Reminds me i also drained fuel from any petrol engined tools i have over winter. Check that the fuel line hasnt collapsed and also the filter on the end of the fuel line in the tank. Might be worth putting some posh petrol through it.

      @@fiveminuteman thanks. I’ll give that a go.
I used petrol from a can I filled in august last year so that likely doesn’t help either.
