Its so funny, I was just talking about Widow Makers while documenting the Brush Fires in Massachusetts recently. I really enjoy your talks through not only photography but with life. Long time watcher, first time caller.
I agree, don’t delete, ever. There have been countless times when a lousy photo has become an at least interesting photo over time. So, yeah, don’t delete anything. Also, the feeling of dread one has when looking for a seemingly deleted photo is terrible. Nobody needs to experience that.
Yeah Widow makers are named that because of the physics of cutting them down. The angle creates a potential kick back which can crush the person operating the chain saw
@@NoahKalina In a weird way this reminds me of an episode from Girls5eva with Richard Kind in a role playing himself where he was delivering some wisdom related to being in a so called sweet spot in your career - famous enough to get jobs and keep things going, doing what you like, but not that famous that your life gets affected by downfalls that come about with immense exposure. Maybe you're onto the same kind of vibe here :))
If I take a bunch of photos of the same subject, I delete all but 1 or 2 of them after I look closely at them all several times, several days apart. I have never regretted this method. The older I get (I'm 61), the more clutter I discard. Why burden my kids and grand-kids with superfluous shit, especially since they don't have the same values as me and probably won't have the time (or rather, won't make the time) to pore over all my stuff.

I haven't started watching yet but sorting out my hard drives from 2005-present is a self-parenting task I think I'll need therapy to face up to.

these videos are very underrated, But we don't want more people watching with us
haha thanks. hoping it never catches on, that will ruin it.
