I remember one of the many times I saw them live, during the long instrumental part of "Dream Police" Robin ran offstage, and I could see him. A roadie handed him a brandy snifter and a cigarette. The whole time the band was playing that long part, Robin alternated between drinking the brandy and taking a drag off the cigarette. Just as the part ended, he took one last drag of the smoke, tossed it into the remaining brandy in the glass, handed it back to the roadie and jogged back onstage just in time to grab the mic and go "The Dream Police!" I always thought that was the coolest thing ever. ;-)
I’m privileged to know those guys, although I haven’t seen them in a few years. Like Rick, I’m born and raised in Rockford Illinois. His wife Karen was a High School classmate of mine. At Rick’s invite, I saw them the first night they played out at a small club here. Great memories!!

@@philliplandry4139 Well there's no truth to these numbers whatsoever. They list Robin's net worth at $25 million. Rick is much much much wealthier than Robin as he is the sole songwriter of their biggest hits. The band frequently mentions that Rick is "Mr I Want You to Want Me" in terms of why he's way richer than the others. Beyond their own royalties Rick makes money off all the covers of that song, which are many. Songwriting and "publishing" is always way more profitable. That's why band members often squabble over that. At some point in the 90s or so Cheap Trick started writing and listing their songs are collaborations and the money for that is probably more equally distributed. But Rick is far richer from the early hits. These videos are total clickbait and relatively useless.

Related to Brad Carlson?
That’s cool, but Rick was born in Elmhurst
A man who is a rock star, married to his original wife and drives a Toyota and Honda SUV is a rare individual.
But he is bisexual and makes out with men on a dance floor !!
Rick cuts his own lawn nuff said.
Back in the 80's I saw Rick and family get out of a red Porsche 911 at a Baskin Robbins in Rockford. He didn't always drive boring cars.
Rick to me seems more cool as an older guy
Not sure of the accuracy of some of this.... I know Rick has a Smart car and an old Thunderbird
We want to also know about Bun E Carlos? He split from the band but we still consider him a part of the band.

I agree. Maybe they didn't want to show Bun's lifestyle after being kicked out of the band, of living in a trailer park and driving a 1973 pinto car
