We are so glad to have gone from the little kid giving the crew a vigorous pull the horn and wave to an affectionate, family like exchange of greetings.
Wow! Great catching all the trains, especially the CSXT9969, Geometry Train, in Covington, Kentucky, and other Heritage Units and the adorable animals in Wichita, Kansas, @Virtual Railfan, thank you.
When my father was a young boy, steam was still commonly used on the UP lines. I'm 52, and as I look at some of these locomotives, I realize how old they are and remind me that I am not a young man any longer. Great grab!
@jamiesuejeffery, I'm in my 70s, and can recall seeing steam in revenue service back in the early to mid-50s on NKP, C&O, and N&W, and yes, it was quite a show while it lasted.
Hooray for the Happy Honker and Happy Birthday to his mom! Beautiful foxes and a terrific eagle. I always love the rocket launches, but I wish I could have heard what our railfanning instrumentalists were playing--I couldn't make it out even with my volume cranked. And didn't the Fort Madison footage with Ferromex and the Amazon piggyback appear twice? The final footage from Burlngton looked like another world after all that snow; it was almost like a mini-vacation. Thanks for another great one!
That CSX Cab was nice to see, in such good condition and I liked the Musical Duo at intermission. The Yreka and Western is not so rare on my HO layout, I like the Logo.
This was a great grab bag today. Foxes, eagle, two musicians, some great train cars and engines and a caboose, no cupulo on top but still a caboose, my favorite of all train cars.❤🦅🦊🪕🚃❤
My local shortline up here in Barrie, Ontario transloads new untreated ties in their yard. Interesting to see the differences as they just load them into old coal hoppers and send them off, whereas here they’re carefully placed (in bundles?) and special flat cars. We’ve even had some old Sultrans cars, and an old woodchip car or two.
Does anyone else remember when you could use that rainbow gradient in certain chat rooms back in the 90s, like CryoTrans used on the Brophy typeface on their reefers. (At 1:31). Boy, does that seem dated now!!! And BTW: those old Yreka Western 5-bay hoppers could also have been Oregon Pacific & Eastern as well.
I was watching the La Plata cam when the race happened. At first, I thought the light I was seeing around the curve was from the DPU from the manifest. Then the Z just appeared.
For those who don’t know, the event at 11:44 is called thunder snow. Same as a thunderstorm with rain, only snowing instead. Not very common and can be scary if you’ve never experienced it before.
Surprised you didn’t get the snow plow driver in flagstaff who got his rear tire stuck between the inside track and platform, gunned it, jumped the track and spun out on the platform.
Lots of great trains in the snow and freights booking/highballing, nice mid helper distributed power in Roanoke on empty coal hopper train, Conductor riding welded rail train, seen the EMD SD70ACE VA HU on 13Z earlier on Jonesboro cam trailing!🛤🚂

7:17 - and thank you for showing HH’s birthday salute to his mom!!!
1:48 That was close with the landing gears on that trailer almost scraping the road.
Wow! What a smoky train. 17:20

❤ I love this video I will tell a friend about it guaranteed he will pass it on to the person that did the camera work double thumbs up
*Nice Catches*
I think the train with the CSX caboose had 7 cars of wall board from Saint John N.B. Great catches.
Wow! Thanks! Unbelievable

We love catching the Sultrans and other fallen flag cars too. We hope to get more locations in Canada.

2:17 What's written under the window of NS 3412?
Grand as usual, might be some fox kits in a couple months 😉
10:25 What the heck is all that white stuff on the ground and flying through the air, dust, ash? LOL (Wayne in South Florida)
The Race In 12:21

Fate sempre un bellissimo lavoro per la comunità 👍
Benvenuto e grazie.
7:44, a Bald Eagle.
17:20 NS 4506 wants to be a steam engine
So does qualify as a Yreka Western Unit Train (0:37)?
Did p40 816 get repainted

wish we could get everything....
@@joepeach997 completely understand. While I was watching it, I said to myself… I bet those guys get that one. It was crazy.
What happened to the snow in Pennsylvania?
0:07 & 5:14 Same video, but no Golden Swoosh
I would have expected to see more snow...?
I've seen a bunch of cool stuff on VRF, how can I save and submit vid clips?
Tell a Mod at at one of our chat locations, just make sure it's special and read up to see if it's been suggested already, thanks.
That "rare" tie train goes through OKC at least once a month.
And rare in OKC is once a month at another location.
They run about monthly through La Plata also, the tie plant is in Galesburg.@@joepeach997
P42 or ALC 42 which is better?
P42
@@buddyrailfan9856 agreed
P42DC
@@OSRP_Productions yes
Genesis vs Charger is more like it.
Why don't the Grab Bags have Santa Fe Jct. Kansas City anymore?
