    A little 20 buck portable steamer would help with removing that tint glue, especially for those with built in defroster. Also good for steaming carpet to help it fit.

    Chris for a guy having OCD I would of figured you would of cleaned and re dye seat belts before panels 😂 I guess mines worse then yours did on my 91 GT and just did on my 89 GT. Stereo mess I found that on 89 and re wiring it to but I'm adding a stock looking head unit I got from a guy in NY has blue tooth built-in

    Window cleaner with ammonia works great for removing tint and adhesive. Spray on, let soak for a minute, wipe off with a microfiber towel. At least, it worked well for me on my son's 25 yr old window tint removal in his 92 Ranger.

    They make a spray to remove the tint. It works well. In NY they outlawed tine back in 2016 I think? We had to remove it just to get it inspected.

    Just bought my 1st 88 notchback and I wish I found your channel before! Lol but you've got me motivated to make this car special. Does the metal panel in the back that holds the 6x9 speakers bolt in? My car seems to be missing this just has the shelf. Someone butchered the dash harness and heater box so it's going to be a winter project. Can I use a interior harness from a 91? I bought a 140 mph cluster but someone cut the wires in the pins.

  • @svtpower03
    @svtpower03 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could look into using a Volvo electric power steering pump and then you could put the AC compressor back in it’s spot possibly. I have a coyote AC compressor from my 2014 yote if you need one. My swap is a race car so no AC needed.

    • @TheInfamousProject
      @TheInfamousProject  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm that might be an option! Do you know if they put out enough to run hydroboost?

    • @svtpower03
      @svtpower03 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheInfamousProject yeah I’m pretty sure they do. I’ve seen a lot of guys do them on the coyote swap foxbody page on Facebook. And you can hide the pump in the inner fender well.

    Why install an air bag steering wheel and then you have no tilt. Also what about the gauge cluster, doesn't it need the 90 and newer. Nice build

    • @TheInfamousProject
      @TheInfamousProject  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally like the position of the airbag wheel. No you do not need to change the cluster but you do need to change the connector for the horns to work

    • @HCI-JP
      @HCI-JP ปีที่แล้ว

      I have always liked the look of the air bag steering wheel more than the tilt, plus i never had interest for the tilt. I plan on doing the same thing to my 88 with tilt.

    There is a way easier way to remove old tint.Get a trash bag and on the outside of the glass cut out the pattern of the windshieldThen on the inside spray it down real good with Windex or even better super stripper.Then place the cut out pattern on top of the Windex or super stripper.push it flush against the glass.Put the car out in the sun give it about 20 minutes.See if it feels off if not spray it again wait another 20 min and it should just peel right off,really stubborn tint will come off with a steamer after the Windex,super stripper trick.

    • @TheInfamousProject
      @TheInfamousProject  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can't say I've heard of that before. Good to know. Curious if it would get overspray etc off? I just find a razor blade fast and effective
