Another 7-star raid, another OHKO strat! This was a very interesting one to prepare for, as I hadn't ever tried to do an OHKO through shield before. Ordinarily, shield going up completely ruins OHKO strategies, because taking 1/5 of the regular damage of attacks is pretty devastating. Blastoise also has 35x HP, so to OHKO it I needed a move to deal over 35 * 5 of Blastoise's 299 HP, which is over 52, 325 HP. Blastoise also spams Iron Defense to get to +6 Defense, so there was no way a physical move would OHKO. Even if you use a setup with a guaranteed crit, a +6 Huge Power sun-boosted Helping Hand-boosted Attack cheer-boosted Flare Blitz from Ho-Oh barely comes halfway there. A special move is much more appealing as a result, especially since, for whatever reason, they gave Blastoise Naive nature, which lowers its Sp. Def. Blastoise is Steel-type, so it's likely that we're gonna need a super-effective move, which means Fire, Fighting, and Ground types are our options. Fire is the immediate candidate that comes to mind, since you can use sun, which also eases setup worries by weakening Hydro Pump for everything else. Fire also has really high BP special moves, like Blue Flare, Overheat, and Blast Burn. To start off I looked at Reshiram, because it has the highest Sp. Atk of all the Fire-types and has Blue Flare. With almost every multiplier available (+6 Sp. Atk: 4x, -6 Sp. Def: 4x, Sun: 1.5x, various different Abilities: 1.5x, item: 1.5x, Attack cheer: 1.5x, and Helping Hand: 1.5x) Reshiram could absolutely do it. It even overshot it, so I knew I could use a weaker Pokemon with either Blast Burn or Overheat. The trouble was gonna be setting it up. Dropping Sp. Def while shield is up requires using a move that decreases Sp. Def as a secondary effect. Only Lumina Crash can drop Sp. Def by 2 stages reliably, since Blastoise's Steel-type makes it immune to Acid Spray. Smeargle doesn't like taking Aura Sphere, so Espathra was the best bet. I also needed some way of boosting special attack. Alcremie's Decorate or Tail Glow + Heart Swap Manaphy tend to be good choices on that front, but I could potentially use boosting moves on the attacker as well. The last support needs to be able to provide the rest of the 1.5x multipliers, most notably the 1.5x Ability if the attacker doesn't have one. However, this is a huge amount of turns invested. Espathra and Manaphy both need at least 3 turns each to get their moves off (using Simple Beam doesn't help because you're just moving a turn to an ally), and we still need Helping Hand, Attack cheer, sun, and still have to get a 1.5x boost from an item. Ordinarily that would be Choice Specs, but that means the attacker can't contribute to the OHKO setup outside of attack cheer, which is probably not very efficient since you already have to go for 3 turns anyway. I then had the thought to use Dragon Cheer with the final ally with Reshiram holding Scope Lens, getting a 1.5x boost that way. That worked just fine, except when translating this OHKO to other Pokemon, you couldn't use Dragon Cheer, since it only boosts the crit rate by +1 for non-Dragon types. Instead, I opted for using Focus Energy or using Fling with Lansat Berry, either of which would provide the +2 crit rate needed to combine with Scope Lens for a guaranteed critical hit. Dedenne could provide all of this for me with Entrainment Plus, Helping Hand, and Fling. Like DK said in the video, any Fire-type with Overheat and at least 106 Sp. Atk could do this, and he just picked Scovillian because why not Scovillian? The only worry at this point for me was the timer. Blastoise would only ever clear us really late into the timer, but it would clear itself relatively early. Luckily for us, it wasn't early enough! Dalvor also identified a small improvement to the strategy, using Fling Lansat Berry last, because it apparently avoids some bug. Fortunately, timer was never an issue, and in the end it was a surprisingly straightforward OHKO.
Very special shoutout to Souless the Demon's unintended help for this raid. Couldn't have learned about the Lansat Berry bug in raids that modified this strat without him. Gg, and glad I could be part of this OHKO
Sure I use this build. Growth Sunny day Flamethrower Max SPDDEF MAX SPATK +SPATK/-ATK Nature Stellar teratype Keep the sun up and use growth 3 times to boost your stats Then use flamethrower. Its not the best build but i can beat the raid. Scovillain usually dies once or twice but still manages to beat the raid.

Actually you can solo blastoise with scovillain. I used him with empoleon and blastloise.

Yes i can and i did. Multiple times. I mean solo them not one shot.
@@alexisbeltran3243 yea solo works but not as fast as in the group
Could I have the build and EV spread for that Scovillain? I really like this mon and it’s shiny is pleasant

Everything is crazy until the next seven star raid comes😅
and then we DO IT AGAIN!!
When all is said and done, how about a ranking of all this crazy one shot builds?😆
Crazy Srat Dk. It's Not Entertainment Though, It's Entrainment. You Spelled It Correct In The Pinned Comment, But You Pronounced It Wrong🤣🤣
