I really agree with your comment. This is the most gentle way of of teaching. It made me feel confident in the material and excited to learn more. Congrats on your exam and big shout out to @InsideCloudAndSecurity.
I take mine in 5 days...Tried reading the book, but for me listening and watching is better. Professor Messer and Udemy course was good, but I love the way you break things down and teach it. Praying I can get through this! Thank you for all you do!
First off, congratulations! I'm currently prepping for the certification exam and feeling overwhelmed as I'm bouncing between Professor Messer and Dion trainings. I'm starting to feel burnt out. Are these videos enough for the exam prep- along with Professor Messer's practice questions? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! 😊 I have an interview in 10 days and would love to nail this cert before then.
Big thanks to you Sir !! 🥺 I just passed CompTIA Sec+ Certification today . ❤️ I didn't have much time for the exam preparation It's like a week of on and off studying since I've been busy in my business and full time job. I've watched Dion and Professor Messer's video but sadly wasn't able to finish due to limited time . 2 days ago ( Saturday) I saw your Sec+ tutorials 5 domains and was surprised that you were able to explain everything in every domains clearly ❤️. Keep on making this kind of contents. You've been really a great help ❤️ God bless!
Glad you like it! My objective was to create materials worth paying for, but to offer them for free here on TH-cam. You’ll find consolidated videos for domains 2 and 3, consolidated domain 4 coming in the next day or so, (all 9 installments are already available) and domain 5 by the end of next weekend.
Pete. thanks for sharing your knowledge. With your videos, book suggestions and testing advice, I passed the SEC+ today. So add another one to the list. Thanks again.
I would like to graciously thank thie maker of this video! I have been in the IT field for almost 18 years, got a BS in IT, and have studied SYO 601 for a year and just fund out the 701 has been updated since Jan but 601 retired 31 July. Most of the material is the same, but I printed out recently the 701 Objectives you are going through. This is perfect timing for me. I will be taking the exam next week.
Love the content. Thank you very much for the upload! Between you and Messer I think I will have my Trifecta by the end of the month. I will come back sometime for the CISSP review when I'm working in the professional world as well.
Watch for about 5 min from this point in the full course for my suggested exam prep strategy - th-cam.com/video/9Hd8QJmZQUc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iLAr0j_ZJl_LXqvy&t=87
@@9bytehub how was it on the focus on terms? anything crazy or was it pretty much the kind of stuff these videos are covering? taking my test saturday and just a bit nervous.
Professor Messer is one of the go-to guys for this stuff. I watched through his entire series, now I'm watching this. This seems to be a bit more condensed and really hammer home the exam objectives. Messer takes a slightly more 'big picture' approach but still goes step-by-step through the objectives, in order. I would recommend doing both.
For the Open Public Ledger, is the context within blockchain or outside of it? It seems like the context is a centralized open public ledger instead of a decentralzied public ledfer for the exam
Glad it helps. The early parts of this series that focus on fundamental concepts provided some opportunities for me to demonstrate some examples to help viewers connect, even if they have no prior experience.
You could try the certification station discord, where I'm a professor. I have not heard of a very active Security+ discord anywhere. Here' s an invite - discord.gg/sPBuaKb5
I have a serious question; I started this course on udemy with Dion Training overall the class is not too bad. But out of curiosity I went on TH-cam to do a general comparison between INSIDE CLOUD AND SECURITY AND ZION TRAINING I am seeing some discrepancies already, an example: for instance you have the key elements of zero trust as Control Plane ✓ Adaptive Identity ✓ Threat Scope Reduction ✓ Policy-Driven Access Control ✓ Policy Administrator ✓ Policy Engine Data Plane ✓ Implicit Trust Zones ✓ Subject/System ✓ Policy Enforcement Point but Zion training has it as: ● Control Plane ○ Adaptive identity, threat scope reduction, policy-driven access control, and secured zones ● Data Plane ○ Subject/system, policy engine, policy administrator, and establishing policy enforcement points @ this point I am just a bit stuck and would like to understand if its a version issue maybe this is how it was in the past and now it has been updated and zion failed to update their content. Please enlighten me on this.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity thank you for the prompt reply and for the amazing work that you do. I’ll keep on going with your material. I was just a bit loss and wanted some clarification.
I don't know about sec+, but I have experience with Dion A+ material where about 10% of the content was from older objectives. So, I suspect the same thing has happened here.
Some prepare in as little as a week, but most I would estimate take somewhere between 30-90 days. Depends on your current knowledge level and how much time you can dedicate to studying.
good content but I beg to differ on the role and relationship between PDP and PEP. The PEP doesn't know anything about the policies, instead, it intercepts access requests and forwards them to the PDP. The PDP then passes access decisions based on pre-defined access control policies. To simplify, PEP sits in between devices/resources and PDP. Based on the decision outcome from PDP, PEP enforces either the deny or access decision. Correct me if I am wrong
I don’t think I’m saying anything different than what you are, although I’ve simplified it intentionally. My diagram and explanation here are well supported by NIST SP 800-207
This is an absolutely excellent resource, thank you so much for providing this. I'm taking my exam this upcoming Saturday, and plan on using your videos to make sure I'm ready to go! This format is easy to follow and digest (at least for me), and like some others have commented already, it is nice to see the included demos and examples. As someone with effectively no IT experience whatsoever, those additional bits of context are totally invaluable. Much appreciated! Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Passed the SEC+ exam (763) in 6 days! Studied all your videos in 3 days. Best exam prep material on the internet, no cap! Thank you so much
Excellent! CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉⭐
That's awesome to hear! I'm laid off and plan to do this as quickly and efficiently as possible.
