I have just watched the Pop Con video on their analysis of what went wrong during the recent election and why so many conservatives discarded the Conservatives and went to the Reform Party.
Very easy: Lies, Lies, Lies, Incompetance, Incompetance, Incompetance, Woke, Woke, Woke.
I am just coming up to my 97th birtday and for all my adult life have voted Conservative, but since the downfall of Lady Thatcher by the so called Grandees of the Conservative party, led by the loathsome Heseltine, the Conservative party has slowly been going downhill.
The first time I thought of leaving the Conservative Party was when David Cameron (Call me Dave) became Prime Minister and resigned as a result of the Brexit Referendum. What a fantastic reponse from the leader of a Great Party. A leader worth his salt should have abided by the will of the majority and tried to make a success of Brexit and shape Britain,s future accordingly..
I always thought he was more Lib Dem than a true Conservative, which proved to be true.
As for Boris, as the resident clown and a consumate liar, he was obviously entertaining but as a serious Leader of a great political party, no chance. I doubt if he was also a true Conservative.
The recent shenannigans over leadership problems and the fact that Manifestos by the Conservatives over the last Four elections was so much toilet paper was an insult and a fingers up to all Conservative voters, particularly when Members were dis-enfranhsised from voting in the leadership election was the last strw for me.
If Nadim Zahawi had been standing again, I might have voted for him, but a potential Candidate was parachuted in from Heywood Nr. Manchester, who had zero knowledge of my area so there was no chance me voting for him.
Since the Conservative Party had left me and not me leaving Conservatism, I listened carefully what Farage had been saying over the last 10-20 years. I find him consistent and agree with much of what he says and does, and in view of my age this is probably the last time I will vote in any further elections, but unless the Conservative thinking parties get together and fight for the common cause you will have socialism and or islamism for the next 50 -100 years.
Please, please stop belly gazing and get your act together for the sake of a better future for Great Britain
Here are some actions I think you need to consider:
    1. Honour your Manifestos
    2. Pick local good Conservative Candidates
3.Get rid of the Wokery in CPHQ
    4. Consider seiously Alliances with other Conservative minded parties, Reform will be around for a long time, so consider them being a serious partner and not the enemy.
    5. Consider picking candidates above 30-35.. Younger candidates in my opinion do not have the worldy experience to understand
the requirements to understand many of life rxperiences.
    6. Do not pick PPE Oxbridge graduates to SPAD positions because of 5 above.Choose from a wide range of professions and a variety of experiences
If you take note of these suggestions we might, just might return Conservatism to its rightful place once again.
This is not only my viewpoint but also dozens of local friends who are a lot younger than me and feel the same way.

What do you mean by wokery in CPHQ?

    • @johnspottiswoode3832
      @johnspottiswoode3832 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@@ismailjames3781 I believe that CPHQ was headed up by a Woke Chairman who thought moving the policies left of center would be the right way to go, when obviously it was not. Parachuting candidates into constituencies instead of picking local well known and trusted candidates was also the right move when it was obvious it was not is pandering to DEI philosophy which I consider to be Woke with serious consequences for the Conservative Party.

You all talk about getting back to the grass roots, yet you all seem to have forgotten what the grass roots was.
    It was the conservative club!
Every town had a Cons club & a Labour club.
We all joined the conservative club. We drank together, watched bands & comedians together, we paid our subs monthly & paid monthly or weekly for a Sumner bus trip out or the Xmas pantomime for the kids etc etc
The point is.... we did all this with all our family & friends, we were a conservative family, the whole club was our conservative family!! We drank together, had trips together, watched bands together, played bingo together at the conservative club! But more importantly we all voted conservative together!
Bring back the conservative clubs to every town! That is your grass roots! We all felt we belonged to the conservative party & felt part of the party.

You really need to stop bashing pensioners! Both tory & Labour are constantly coming after our state pensions.
Most of us have worked hard and paid our taxes & national insurance we've scrimped, scraped & gone without to buy a little house worth £100 - £150 grand. Like millions, we hope to sell & buy an even cheaper flat & hopefully have £50 grand profit to bolster our state pension.
If you scrap our state pension we will have to sell our houses & live off the money for about 3 years. Then what???
We've paid into this pension scheme all our lives! On the promise of a state pension at 60 (for women). You've already took 7 years off of us (around £100 grand).
We're all terrified of retiring in a few years!
You'll win nothing whilst your terrifying us!!
Were terrified to vote for you!
Everyone coming up to pension age & relying on state pension is scared stiff of the tories & Labour!
