Great flight! Thanks for the helpful information about the Cirrus 22T ! I saw that Josh’s hair did not blow up in the wind! Ha Ha Enjoyed that flight and commentary on the video!
I'm sold. Going to my LHS tomorrow to get this one!!!! I'm a bad boy,, I just spent 500 bonz on the Giant Carbon Z SS orange cub to replace my V! Carbon Z blue cub. You guys are responsible for spending my money!!!!!!
Gorgeous plane, I earned my Private license in a Cirrus SR-20. I'll have to check the Horizon site and see if they have a red version that would match our school's aircraft.
If you ever come on over to Duluth, MN to tour Cirrus, Spirit Lake Marina or Indian Point Campground will have a place for you to park your RV! Plus we have a lot of water for you to fly your Sea Ducks! And we even have a former Cirrus designer who now designs boats as Symphony Boat Company right here in our marina!
Good video... I’d like to see some more of the older style challenges, though and balsa would be nice to cover. The newer content is fun to watch but I really miss learning from this channel.
Josh, high aspect is more stable like gliders, low aspect is more maneuverable like fighter jets. It can be squirley cause is a little foam plane at the mercy of the atmosphere and wind.
Great video! I have one and always flew scale. After seeing that I plan on throwing scale out the window. One other thing I really like are the lights. If they would sell just the light set I would get those for other planes.
I have one and the only complaint I have is the servo for the rudder and front wheel is too weak. I replaced twice now and plan to upgrade with a better one.
The nose gear- rudder servo should have been a metal gear servo because the stock servo strip s out easily on a hard landing. Also the two small screws that secure the Horizontal Stablizer are not enough...There is a lot of side to side buffering on that stablizer from the prop swash and air movement. The main wing tip plastic housing for the lights comes loose if you happen to tap the wing tips on landing. The Cirrus flys very well but is not bult very well.
I am asking for a new rc plane for my birthday In July, and I am considering the cirrus and the fly zone beaver, I want something that is built for scale but I could have fun with, and we also do a bunch of lake camping trips, and I go to my local airfield a lot, it’s also quite windy down where I live so what plane do you recommend
Discovered Flite test a few days ago. As I've just become interested in rc flight. Subscribed and enjoy your videos. To use the safe flight features can one use a different brand if radio instead if the Spektrum?
SAFE and AS3X with SAFE Select are Spektrum specific tech! There are other systems that can do bank limits, stabilization but they are usually not integrated into the receiver etc.
Thank you for responding. So what would you recommend for a first flyer that I'll still dig as I gain skills? I think I want a radio with 8 more channels for future planes, ect.
The Cirrus have had problems with sharp low speed turns as the inner wing on the turn stalls easily and the plane will literally fall out of the sky, recovery is almost impossible.
The Cirrus actually had to have a parachute to get certified to fly otherwise it wasnt safe enought thats why they have that parachute (if i am correct)
I believe that is a common misconception about Cirrus. One of the issues early on in the mid-90s with the Cirrus SR20 was the tendency for difficult recovery from a spin. With tweaks to the airfoil, this issue was eliminated, and now the SR series has one of the more stable wings in the high-performance GA market. They added a "cuffed leading edge," which is where the outside half of the wing has a protruding leading edge, essentially lowering the angle of attack in comparison to the inside of the wing. When the aircraft reaches its critical angle of attack, the inside of the wing will stall before the outside, and you will be able to maintain controlled flight and aileron effectiveness even when entering a stall. The parachute, I would imagine, is not unrelated to this issue entirely, but it is much more there as peace of mind for pilots and their passengers to know that in the vast majority of emergency situations, the parachute it a viable and possibly life-saving asset.
Love the interior cockpit FPV camera view and the longstanding quad drone chase cam.
Your enthusiasm and love for the hobby is awesome. Thanks for another video!
Thanks for the kind words my friend!!
It's great for marketing.
I like the Bixler/Alex dynamic on camera. The friendship really comes through.
Just ordered mine! This can really tear through that envelope! Lovely plane great scale design and flies nice.
Wow, I asked for this video about a week or 2 ago and you guys delivered. You have my subscription. My cirrus arrived but needs to be put together.
I don't think I've ever commented on your channel but that was the best video you've done. Kudos!
Thanks friend! We are glad you enjoyed it! thanks for watching!
Horizon Hobby might as well be receiving my direct deposits. I can’t stop buying these awesome airplanes. Now I have to get this one!
I understand
Same here.
Great flight! Thanks for the helpful information about the Cirrus 22T ! I saw that Josh’s hair did not blow up in the wind! Ha Ha
Enjoyed that flight and commentary on the video!
"Wind never translates well on the camera..." - cuts to Alex's hair to demonstrate "wind" while there is a freaking windsock in the background.

Hobbyking needs some love on the channel, you guys should do another build off!
yep, hk need to make one with reasonable price too..
Great to seeing you do reviews again josh. The channel has been missing this. Awesome plane. Fit and finish looks great
Wow Joshes skills as a pilot are still getting better...good job
My flight school uses SR-20 for flight training because of it's resistance to winds and it looks good too in those videos as RC planes
Ever since your group came to MAPS Air Museum. I have enjoyed exciting flying with each video. Just wanted to wish you all the best with the future.
Great flying Josh, love seeing you excited!
Thanks guys. I revert back to a 10 year old every time I fly. :)

Wow. I wasn’t expecting the Lomcevak! That was neat.
Very nice flown.
Cirrusly?
Nathan Knight SO CIRRUS!!
this is some Cirrus business!
Why so Cirrus?
@@zotar9279 bcause flite test make cirrus vids
I did not expect this Cirrus to be able to whip like that. I wonder if the Cirrus I have already is as agile?
Awesome flying dude.
"Surely you can't be Cirrus!"
"I am Cirrus, and don't call me Shirley."
haha!!
That was awesome. Great flying!
Awesome. Would love this. Cheers and great flying guys. :)
I have been (ignored) asking for a ballistic chute build for years!!!!!!
Love this model!

balsa coming soon! ;)

Not a fan of the full scale one, but man, that looks soooo fun!
Agreed. This is a very nice looking plane :)
Can you fit a go pro in the cockpit???
Looks like an awesome plane!
THATS HOW YOU FLY A PLANE!! aha Great vid I just picked up one of these planes and stoked to fly it. Been flying smaller ones
THAT is a fine-looking craft! Me WANT! Thanks for the nice review! :))
go to watch just one flite test and 3 hours later binge watching lol
Why so Cirrus?
Nice, steady flyer
Before watching the video, I’ve gotta ask? Does it have a parachute?
Great video! I have one and always flew scale. After seeing that I plan on throwing scale out the window. One other thing I really like are the lights. If they would sell just the light set I would get those for other planes.
Nice plane, nice flight!
I wanna make my own with flitetest foamboard, with the electronics from my sport cub s because the nose is held on either tape!
Diggin the music in this one guys, great video!
Thanks Tad! ;)

Things that you should not do with a full scale sr22t platinum: loops, rolls, snaps, lomchevaks, *knife edge spins*
Love it.
Should I get the cirrus or the che r oker
Been waiting on this for a while
Your video of it flying makes me want to buy one. At the same time i'm in the process of getting my private pilots license at KERI.
good luck Kyle! ;)
"To the tabs, please"
If you understand this ^^^, You may own a Cirrus.
On the road to a million subscribers keep it up 👍
Is it a beginner plane??
Hello to you all...Can i use on my brand new Cirrus a 4s 3000 lipos for my maiden because at the moment it's all i have...Thank you !
Yes I've been waiting for this !
You guys should do a video were you fly in really windy weather and see who stays up flying the longest.
th-cam.com/video/TyzXU2bEqFE/w-d-xo.html
Please please put a ballistic parachute on it. that would be so awesome.
how did you pull off that stunt?
That a nice flight
I will say I really appreciate the shorter intros
Adam Snyder I like the longer ones
👍Thats awesome I know which plane I wanna get next
What camera do they have on the tail? Id love to get that view without having a tail heavy plane.
We're using the 808 Keychain Camera HD for the tail and cockpit shots. Super lightweight!
FliteTest thanks!
You should name that maneuver the "Curly Shuffle"
Nice plane
Which one is better that you Eflite Cherokee are the e-flite Cirrus?
You guys should do a giveaway with one of these beautiful planes!
Sweet plane
You guys going to Joe Nall this year or are you going to be too busy with the new location?
I am asking for a new rc plane for my birthday In July, and I am considering the cirrus and the fly zone beaver, I want something that is built for scale but I could have fun with, and we also do a bunch of lake camping trips, and I go to my local airfield a lot, it’s also quite windy down where I live so what plane do you recommend
The title should be more like What Can’t you do with a cirrus lol
Nice... Alex’s hair as a flight sock
There was a real flight sock at 0.58 :-)
Pause at 4:34 is that a black hole sun?

Nice video!
A Cirrus that doesn’t kill near as many geeks!
Flite Test, pleeaassee design a foam board speedbuild for us of this airplane !
A twin engine would be nice as well !
Fun fact: this is modeled on the new Gen 5 SR-22Ts
By the way would love to see some longer episodes
Would you recommend it as a beginner plane?
I currently have one as my second plane, I highly recommend it. Comes with SAFE as well :)
Shane Miller more like 2nd or 3rd
Thanks I'm thinking about purchasing one as my 3rd plane so thanks for the information.
I use to build the real thing. Nice they finally came out with a model.
Nice video. Doesn't this look like the Horizon Hobby Archer?
0:14 did something fall off?
I think they ran something over
Probably can't afford the model either to be honest...
Brodie Bennett it’s only around 200$ but the rtf is more expensive
Brodie Bennett
It was like $220 I bought it and kamikaze’d it lol
@@timwilson7326 NOOOOoo What happened?
Austin Harnish there’s no rtf
Well done, somewhat of a return to form, further still to go.
It’s now September 2018 and still no parachute on this plane.
I like flight test. Really good
Thanks to flight test
Now i renember that video of that Cirrus falling off the sky vertically on a parking lot .... not a good sight :(
Alex, Valiant vs Cirrus?
The Cirrus have had problems with sharp low speed turns as the inner wing on the turn stalls easily and the plane will literally fall out of the sky, recovery is almost impossible.
Hey guys, what’s up! Also nice flying Josh!
Foam Test yo ry! ;)
Still waiting for the ballistic chute episode.
awesome..always love your video
Hi love your videos I bought a diatone gt200n and I need help with the board can you please help me out
