When you talk about CWM being a major player in Georgia, you're not kidding. In 2017, a fire destroyed about 600' of I85 bridge just North of the center of Atlanta. We're talking 6 lanes of Interstate - on each side. Atlanta's traffic is legendary on a good day, so you can imagine what *that* did. GADOT went to CWM, who built the thing originally, 40 years ago ... and CWM simply pulled out the blueprints from that job, and proceeded, matter of factly, to rebuild the entire bridge, both sides, all 12 lanes, in 41 days flat.
I haul concrete we have been doing pretty much all of the barriers between south and the north bound lanes from sr53 to 129 in Jefferson aswell as Crete for the bridges being replaced cement Mathew’s is the general contractor for the job I can say every guy iv come in contact with have been great they are all friendly and easy to work with all top notch guys it’s a breeze when you deal with contractors and there help that are helpful and easy going
We have the most useless DOT in GA. Projects that never get finished. Nothing but orange cones on the same areas for decades. Potholes that refused to get filled no matter how many times we report them. They added those express lanes vs making the main highways wider by 2 lanes to help alleviate traffic all around. Yall didn't even try to finish the project and fix the roads during thr shutdown for covid. Perfect opportunity wasted.
I was an intern making $13 a hour. I now make a good bit more than that. $13 can’t be true to be working full time, I was told starting pay is almost $16

Potholes don’t get filled just because a citizen “reports” it. A lot of time and money goes into fixing a small pothole.
