Hacking* idk why people say modded. For any other game on PC and console, the term hacking is used, modding refers to something completely different and usually for non-online games.
from an ex-modder, i used to mod to help other people out, not from money which will flag their accounts, but from other modders or greifers that focus on low levels, it got to a point that because rockstar didn't have the anti-cheats, some of us agreed to be the anti-cheat. modders had the power wayyy before the source code leaks. like we had the power to even change the host of the same session, we also had the option to people glitch in the loading screen and also crash their game (before source leaks). The power of the mod menus are scary.
Which doesn't work on other modders, as most menus (especially payed) has protects. Doing things like crashing, will just let the other modder kick you instead
The game's main problem is it's p2p based networking. They should rewrite the entire networking code which would cost a lot of money and they would have to buy/rent better servers to handle it.
I can see why they did it that way back when GTA online first launched. I’m sure they didn’t expect it to become so huge. But where they went wrong(read: cheaped out) is they didn’t invest anything back in building the backend infrastructure to support such a huge game and provide a better experience(and on pc, a safer) for the players. They made, and still are making fat stacks head over heels with shark cards. It’s so ironic that GTA online is such a buggy mess, many glitches and bugs are present for years but if there’s a new money/dupe glitch found, suddenly it’s patched within hours. That’s how you know where their priority is.
With how much money GTA:O is still making, there really is no reason why GTAV and VI can't have dedicated servers. It won't only benefit PC but console too since a dedicated server is magnitudes better than PS5 or Xbox Series. It's already a standard for many other games. Don't let R* make you believe such a thing would cost tens of billions, it won't, studios 1/10th of their size use them, MMOs that make less money than GTA:O use them, Battlefield games were using them 20 years ago.
If Rockstar Wants To Stop Cheaters When GTA 6 Roles Around They Need To Either Use The Best Anti-Cheat Engine Or Just Dont Release It On PC Because I know Modders can Call SWAT TEAMS On innocent players which is just ridiculous
Rockstar just needs to have dedicated servers for 6 to help severely mitigate the issues. The reason why it's so bad is because of the P2P connections. Them getting dedicated servers would actually help the issue because it can mask IPs.
Even after rockstar games added battleye, cheaters already found an way to play gta online with mod menus few days after update was implemented which truly shows how far cheaters would go.

Sorry, did I hear that right? Menus weren't a problem on 360/Ps3? As someone who got the game day 1, and played online when it first released (and was called a beta at the time) menus were definitely not rare. Sure, not as often as they are on pc in modern day. but they were definitely not uncommon by any means. I still remember being constantly blown up by trails of explosions just driving down the road, having all my weapons removed from my wheel, losing/gaining money, etc. Maybe for some it wasn't as common, but that was not the case for all of us. Oh, let's not forget the countless times where loading into your Eclipse Tower garages (or any other 20 car, that was just the most common) had a 8 or 9 chance out of 10, to have a windmill spinning all throughout the garage, or a dozen wrapped bodies/corpses (the ones underwater, most may know them from the tunnel entrance for the Cayo Heist.) dropped all through the garage. Same with the big traffic cone shaped balloons you normally see in air races. They pop when hit (or at least they used to. I recall doing a couple air races in recent years, and they haven't popped upon impact.) I believe there were 1 or 2 other things put into the garages as well, but it's been so long I don't remember. Still remember being "locked" into those "cages" (the wheeled fence looking carts, upside down), having items placed on my head, being teleported, flying around in cars, etc. One of the funniest ones I experienced was watching a Dump fly around. Y'know, the giant yellow quarry dump truck. Bus is cool and all when it happens, but the dump was just too goofy not to crack me up. This was all on 360, keep that in mind. It wasn't just one lobby, this was a normal occurrence. I'm not sure where the idea of "anti-cheat" comes from, seeing as 360's and PS3's were constantly jailbroken or whatever else they were doing/using at that time. Ope, just saw the part about not blaming then for giving themselves money (which I agree) but seeing the Independence Day suit reminded me of my favorite thing they used to do. The Sovereign. The motorcycle with the American flag livery/design on it. I remember being in a lobby where someone changed my bikes color for me to all black instead of the livery. Don't get me wrong, I love my flag and always have, but as someone who likes bikes, such as Harley's, seeing it in all black (and a few other colors but I stuck with black) I'll tell ya, it looked so nice. That is one thing I'd like to see them change. Just let us remove the livery and have open paint opens for the bike. It's not like it's the Liberator and exclusively pegasus, it's a buyable, storeable vehicle. Maybe I'll get lucky and come across someone who still has one of them, since unfortunately that account I had one on, was lost a long time ago.

But pulling that against other real people, real players, it just says so much about how genuinely bad you are. I only had my weapons removed from me like 2 times if I recall, of course on 360. But in the years since, I've had so many sad ass "tryhards" or their friends because they couldn't themselves, boot me off. Or in some cases they tried. I will say, it's hilarious watching someone say "I'm gonna boot you" or "I've got your IP". Like, ok. Cool? Want a cookie? And they'll end up kicking their friend(s) or themselves. Or they'll tell me some set of numbers or a place that's of course absolutely nowhere near me. At BEST, I've had people tell me "hows *insert place name*?" And I have to look up where the hell they're naming, and that stuff is like 1½ or more hours away from me. (Apparently booting and IP grabbing does NOT work hand in hand for them, cause I never get anyone who can do/provide both against me. And it's always the ones who name a place, even if it is over an hour away, they never hit me off. I'm no tech guru, but I'm obviously missing how that can be so hard to do together 😂) But besides the occasional boot, which hasn't happened in a good while now that I think of it. Not that I can tell anyways. (Coincidentally, when it does happen, it's usually during a storm/bad weather, otherwise it doesn't. Might just be weird but legitimate timing, or who knows.) Too many little kids who suck at games, and can't even fight unfairly without still sucking.

I still remember the PS3 modders and not to forget the lobbies on the PS4 that were overcrowded with tryhards. If I'm honest, it hasn't improved much in all these years. I don't actively play GTA online anymore, but as soon as I join a lobby, it's just a war...

@Jetro You forgot to mention that Rockstar Games did attempt to fix modders joining friends only / private sessions and as of now haven’t had any problems in private sessions for a while now.
Just for anyone concerning, yes they can crash your game but i think they only do that by deleting some content that has to be with the "update" files inside GTA V main folder, because it happened to me, i simply ran a file verification and it downloaded like 3 gigs, of course its annoying but is a little fix until something can be done
As bad as the PC modding issue is, it's never gonna get fixed, just gotta hope R* actually puts in effort with an anti cheat for GTA 6. At least you can't mod on console, on current gen anyway. I don't think PS4 JB can get online yet anyway.

Is Rockstar fault. Rockstar and Take2 has lead the door open for hacker to steal information from their servers. Because this is not exclusive for GTA Online this also happen on GTA4 and RDR 2. You can see for example the leak of the GTA 6 trailer and information abouth the game that was stolen from the server pass year. That hacker was realese , so what kind of example is Rockstar doing about Network security for the Players?
They don't use servers remember, what's getting hacked is the info stored on a player's system, because it's used to host the games. but for everything else yea their security is bad and that's because they're told not to care about it, just keep making the TakeTwo CEO more and more money. He needs to be investigated.
another problem is if you join a lobby with hackers who have your private information, and then even if you play single player, you're still screwed because they still have your private data and do whatever they want with it. they can corrupt your rockstar account and mess with your connection, which you won't be able to play single player games because of rockstar's launcher requiring a account and internet connection to play them. its widely known the rockstar support is useless so you have no choice but to make a new account and maybe buy the games again if you got them from the launcher itself.
i loved playing racing games in gta online but there was no game without cheaters, sometimes even 3 of them competing with each other with use of these cheats and leaving normal players behind
I've never seen another online game with so many cheaters. It's currently harder to find a session without someone cheating than with someone cheating.

I agree, dedicated servers alongside a server browser, with monetization for renting servers like DICE did for Battlefield 3-4, and 1 would have been the best way to deal with this modding, cheating, and security problem. Rockstar and T2 have tons of money to splurge on their products and dedicated servers should have been a no-brainer for them, the money will always come anyway to pay for server upkeep.
I will encounter at least 3 players using god mode in every single session with more than 20 people. Some will also enable cheats like aim-bot when they can't win a fight. A mod menu is essentially required to play GTA Online on PC. Hell, I've got one too. The first thing I always do when joining a new session is scanning the player list for anyone that has god mode, drives too fast and spectating players who get called out in chat.
lol so i remember once i did a mission for the nightclub and some random cheater with a custom plated deluxo comes at me and blows me up with spamming missles. and ALSO, my nighclub got DELETED from my properties, including all of my guns. They should stop it like come on rockstar
Today XBox - someone kept dropping trucks onto players and we tried to kick him and report them but they stayed in the lobby. He also hacked others vehicles and sold them
I have barely ever stepped out of invite only lobby in long time, i played some in public lobby, but amount of lag and crashing made that a chore, plus being at mercy of cheaters and hackers. It's a pity, i hope R* fixes this in their next game, i have no intention of going through this again.

Something that you could have covered in your video is the fact that Rockstar purchased FiveM, which is the unofficial community servers for GTA 5 on PC. These are server based and way more regulated. I can see this potentially being utilised solely for PC once GTA 6 is ported.

Someone changed me in a christmass tree, it was so huge that it filled up the whole airport and the whole city was in the shadow of my branches. No one got sunburned that day. Love it when you just have a lobby full of modders or no cheaters at all. Modding can be really really fun sometimes aslong you don't ruin other peoples gameplay. Using a animal machine gun and shooting elephants, giraffs, horses and hippo's at people is really funny if they also have godmode on

I have recently bought gta 5 and had some fun with my friend, but after few days of grinding some random cheater broke our progress, he gave us millions of money hundreds of collectables and over 100 levels. So we had to restart and play on invite only :(
That wasn't the only source I had for it but I was a little mistaken. It would solve the IP finding and DDoS attacks by that amount for sure but maybe not cheating overall. That is my bad...

A lot of the information in this video is bullshit. I'm one of the friendly modders, and being host of sessions gives you no added benefit other than the ability to protect yourself from crashes/kicks from other modders. Some menus which show IP and ISP info allow you to see that REGARDLESS of if you are host or not. Additionally, you cannot get someones HOME ADDRESS from p2p connections, even the IP is not linked to a home address, WORSE CASE, its linked to a tower which may be in your city, or may be a few cities away depending on where you live. If you are scared of someone having your IP, use a VPN, that is why they were created.

I play on xbox and pc, I did a public lobby once on PC that was enough for me.. Keep my vpn on and play in invite only sessions. I hated online before they added invite only, once they did I actually took interest in business', and other aspects I couldn't enjoy before because someone was always blowing up my product, or chasing me down.. I get that online is mostly pvp, but when you aren't bothering anyone what is the point in killing them over and over again when they aren't even fighting you back? I won't do public lobbies on pc anymore in fear of my own account getting banned because something a modder dropped on me.. Or messed with my stats and I had no control over it.. I play legit, don't buy shark cards, and enjoy the grind.. I don't want a modder to screw all that hard work up just cause they don't play the same way as I do. I'm a total noob for the online and I thought it was too easy for some player to keep killing me like that. One shot kill through a bus from who knows where. Here I am thinking GTA was so strict and serious about game hackers.
Even if you have a vpn, you are no safe, the best solutions are to either never play in any session other than invite only, or if you already have a console, yous house migrate.

The only thing that got patched was the ability to drop money on other players and hack peoples accounts. All the other fun stuff modders can do is still available
P2P systems actually improved over time, and using them brings very useful benefits for players that live closer to each other, that's why I can play friends only sessions with bad internet but still play without problems with my friends. Gta V on lan party is crazy good because is literally running on the local network. I hope that rockstar decides to modernize their p2p system or to change to a more classic approach of hosted servers.

This is the result of Rockstar using a Peer 2 Peer instead of Dedicated Servers, and P2P is pretty much outdated and unacceptable in the modern era of gaming.

Wanna know a simple fix to "anticheat for PC" Rockstar can do, and its a joke how easy it could be if they even cared? Have a Rockstar employee host GTA Online sessions (and if need be, have their colleagues join in the session) if there's a cheater that gets caught, the employee can simply switch the plug on them. Simple, right? They anyways have millions of dollars, why can't they dedicate that to hiring more- Oh. True. They care more about the money than our security. For the most part, I do blame Rockstar, not because they have no control over the never ending demand over mod menus, but because Rockstar keeps slacking until the very last moment something actually needs to be done. They keep slacking bad. They basically ALLOWED mod developers to gain an advantage over Rockstar, and Rockstar just sat back and kept sniffing the green they keep making off Shark Cards and GTA plus on a daily basis. The moment GTA Online gets boycotted and they simply can no longer make a single cent from GTA Online, regardless if its from PC, PS4, PS5, or Xbox One / Series X|S, that might motivate Rockstar into actually putting whatever millions of dollars they have left into good use of either a proper anti-cheat, or simply Rockstar hosted sessions. Until that day comes though, Rockstar will let themselves keep losing, because they care more about the money they're still making from GTA Online to this day and beyond.

They should have someone go to Rockstar and be an official inspector for the safety of the online servers so that way it’ll encourage Rockstar and other game developers to have dedicated servers.
I think they're not going to port GTA VI on PCs at all; the cheat developers would easily figure out how to fake having GTA+ subscription, effectively cutting into R* revenue stream

Rockstar have completely lost their own game on pc. Since the update, EVERY day has been a hacker in the new X2 mode, ....that's every game, every hour ALL day long for WEEKS, never letting up, no 'ban waves', NOTHING from Rockstar. if the PC version is red there are modders. I think the PC version would never have anti cheating. I'm a PC modder, I use mod menus. rockstar games never deletes the godmode.

from an ex-modder, i used to mod to help other people out, not from money which will flag their accounts, but from other modders or greifers that focus on low levels, it got to a point that because rockstar didn't have the anti-cheats, some of us agreed to be the anti-cheat. modders had the power wayyy before the source code leaks. like we had the power to even change the host of the same session, we also had the option to people glitch in the loading screen and also crash their game (before source leaks). The power of the mod menus are scary.
Which doesn't work on other modders, as most menus (especially payed) has protects. Doing things like crashing, will just let the other modder kick you instead

The game's main problem is it's p2p based networking. They should rewrite the entire networking code which would cost a lot of money and they would have to buy/rent better servers to handle it.

I can see why they did it that way back when GTA online first launched. I’m sure they didn’t expect it to become so huge. But where they went wrong(read: cheaped out) is they didn’t invest anything back in building the backend infrastructure to support such a huge game and provide a better experience(and on pc, a safer) for the players. They made, and still are making fat stacks head over heels with shark cards.
It’s so ironic that GTA online is such a buggy mess, many glitches and bugs are present for years but if there’s a new money/dupe glitch found, suddenly it’s patched within hours. That’s how you know where their priority is.

Rockstar just needs to have dedicated servers for 6 to help severely mitigate the issues. The reason why it's so bad is because of the P2P connections. Them getting dedicated servers would actually help the issue because it can mask IPs.
Even after rockstar games added battleye, cheaters already found an way to play gta online with mod menus few days after update was implemented which truly shows how far cheaters would go.

Sorry, did I hear that right? Menus weren't a problem on 360/Ps3? As someone who got the game day 1, and played online when it first released (and was called a beta at the time) menus were definitely not rare. Sure, not as often as they are on pc in modern day. but they were definitely not uncommon by any means. I still remember being constantly blown up by trails of explosions just driving down the road, having all my weapons removed from my wheel, losing/gaining money, etc. Maybe for some it wasn't as common, but that was not the case for all of us.
Oh, let's not forget the countless times where loading into your Eclipse Tower garages (or any other 20 car, that was just the most common) had a 8 or 9 chance out of 10, to have a windmill spinning all throughout the garage, or a dozen wrapped bodies/corpses (the ones underwater, most may know them from the tunnel entrance for the Cayo Heist.) dropped all through the garage. Same with the big traffic cone shaped balloons you normally see in air races. They pop when hit (or at least they used to. I recall doing a couple air races in recent years, and they haven't popped upon impact.) I believe there were 1 or 2 other things put into the garages as well, but it's been so long I don't remember. Still remember being "locked" into those "cages" (the wheeled fence looking carts, upside down), having items placed on my head, being teleported, flying around in cars, etc. One of the funniest ones I experienced was watching a Dump fly around. Y'know, the giant yellow quarry dump truck. Bus is cool and all when it happens, but the dump was just too goofy not to crack me up. This was all on 360, keep that in mind. It wasn't just one lobby, this was a normal occurrence. I'm not sure where the idea of "anti-cheat" comes from, seeing as 360's and PS3's were constantly jailbroken or whatever else they were doing/using at that time.
Ope, just saw the part about not blaming then for giving themselves money (which I agree) but seeing the Independence Day suit reminded me of my favorite thing they used to do. The Sovereign. The motorcycle with the American flag livery/design on it. I remember being in a lobby where someone changed my bikes color for me to all black instead of the livery. Don't get me wrong, I love my flag and always have, but as someone who likes bikes, such as Harley's, seeing it in all black (and a few other colors but I stuck with black) I'll tell ya, it looked so nice. That is one thing I'd like to see them change. Just let us remove the livery and have open paint opens for the bike. It's not like it's the Liberator and exclusively pegasus, it's a buyable, storeable vehicle. Maybe I'll get lucky and come across someone who still has one of them, since unfortunately that account I had one on, was lost a long time ago.

But that's been and will continue to be the standard in basically any game, especially if there's a pvp/competitive aspect to it. And for whatever reason, people have such a hard time, concept, acceptance, etc of losing. They just can NOT handle it. Whether its throwing controllers or other stuff, or its screaming at the top of their lungs, or even going so far as to physically go out of their way to actually cause harm to others. I get the whole getting annoyed in certain situations, especially if you know for a fact that one thing should've happened and you got legitimately jipped by bullshit. Or even just getting ever so unlucky and being annoyed because maybe it keeps happening. (My kind of "luck" right there.) The mentality of "someone beat me, so now I'm going to pull out cheats and such to remove their stuff because I'm too shit, and so this is my only way to "beat" them". Just sad. Like, if you wanna use that stuff against AI (because let's be real, fuck AI in video games 😂), whether it's in like a solo story mode, or in a coop fighting pvp, sure. But pulling that against other real people, real players, it just says so much about how genuinely bad you are.

And I have to look up where the hell they're naming, and that stuff is like 1½ or more hours away from me. (Apparently booting and IP grabbing does NOT work hand in hand for them, cause I never get anyone who can do/provide both against me. And it's always the ones who name a place, even if it is over an hour away, they never hit me off. I'm no tech guru, but I'm obviously missing how that can be so hard to do together 😂) But besides the occasional boot, which hasn't happened in a good while now that I think of it. Not that I can tell anyways. (Coincidentally, when it does happen, it's usually during a storm/bad weather, otherwise it doesn't. Might just be weird but legitimate timing, or who knows.)

As someone who used cheats and mod menus in GTA5 on a jailbroken PS3 when the game came out, I agree.
I was around in the PS3 days. People were using mod menus, God mode, billion dollar bounty. I was there and saw it happen.

You forgot to mention that Rockstar Games did attempt to fix modders joining friends only / private sessions and as of now haven’t had any problems in private sessions for a while now.
Just for anyone concerning, yes they can crash your game but i think they only do that by deleting some content that has to be with the "update" files inside GTA V main folder, because it happened to me, i simply ran a file verification and it downloaded like 3 gigs, of course its annoying but is a little fix until something can be done

Is Rockstar fault. Rockstar and Take2 has lead the door open for hacker to steal information from their servers. Because this is not exclusive for GTA Online this also happen on GTA4 and RDR 2. You can see for example the leak of the GTA 6 trailer and information abouth the game that was stolen from the server pass year. That hacker was realese , so what kind of example is Rockstar doing about Network security for the Players?
They don't use servers remember, what's getting hacked is the info stored on a player's system, because it's used to host the games. but for everything else yea their security is bad and that's because they're told not to care about it, just keep making the TakeTwo CEO more and more money. another problem is if you join a lobby with hackers who have your private information, and then even if you play single player, you're still screwed because they still have your private data and do whatever they want with it. they can corrupt your rockstar account and mess with your connection, which you won't be able to play single player games because of rockstar's launcher requiring a account and internet connection to play them. its widely known the rockstar support is useless so you have no choice but to make a new account and maybe buy the games again if you got them from the launcher itself.

I agree, dedicated servers alongside a server browser, with monetization for renting servers like DICE did for Battlefield 3-4, and 1 would have been the best way to deal with this modding, cheating, and security problem.
Rockstar and T2 have tons of money to splurge on their products and dedicated servers should have been a no-brainer for them, the money will always come anyway to pay for server upkeep.
I will encounter at least 3 players using god mode in every single session with more than 20 people. Some will also enable cheats like aim-bot when they can't win a fight. A mod menu is essentially required to play GTA Online on PC. Hell, I've got one too. The first thing I always do when joining a new session is scanning the player list for anyone that has god mode, drives too fast and spectating players who get called out in chat.

I have barely ever stepped out of invite only lobby in long time, i played some in public lobby, but amount of lag and crashing made that a chore, plus being at mercy of cheaters and hackers.

Something that you could have covered in your video is the fact that Rockstar purchased FiveM, which is the unofficial community servers for GTA 5 on PC. These are server based and way more regulated. I can see this potentially being utilised solely for PC once GTA 6 is ported.

Someone changed me in a christmass tree, it was so huge that it filled up the whole airport and the whole city was in the shadow of my branches. No one got sunburned that day. Love it when you just have a lobby full of modders or no cheaters at all. Modding can be really really fun sometimes aslong you don't ruin other peoples gameplay. Using a animal machine gun and shooting elephants, giraffs, horses and hippo's at people is really funny if they also have godmode on

I play on PC and I occasionally run into bad modders. I use a VPN and bad ones try tell me my location which is never my actual location.

A lot of the information in this video is bullshit. I'm one of the friendly modders, and being host of sessions gives you no added benefit other than the ability to protect yourself from crashes/kicks from other modders. Some menus which show IP and ISP info allow you to see that REGARDLESS of if you are host or not. Additionally, you cannot get someones HOME ADDRESS from p2p connections, even the IP is not linked to a home address, WORSE CASE, its linked to a tower which may be in your city, or may be a few cities away depending on where you live. If you are scared of someone having your IP, use a VPN, that is why they were created.

I play on xbox and pc, I did a public lobby once on PC that was enough for me.. Keep my vpn on and play in invite only sessions. I hated online before they added invite only, once they did I actually took interest in business', and other aspects I couldn't enjoy before because someone was always blowing up my product, or chasing me down.. I get that online is mostly pvp, but when you aren't bothering anyone what is the point in killing them over and over again when they aren't even fighting you back? I won't do public lobbies on pc anymore in fear of my own account getting banned because something a modder dropped on me.. Or messed with my stats and I had no control over it.. I play legit, don't buy shark cards, and enjoy the grind.. I don't want a modder to screw all that hard work up just cause they don't play the same way as I do. P2P systems actually improved over time, and using them brings very useful benefits for players that live closer to each other, that's why I can play friends only sessions with bad internet but still play without problems with my friends.
Gta V on lan party is crazy good because is literally running on the local network.
I hope that rockstar decides to modernize their p2p system or to change to a more classic approach of hosted servers.

Have a Rockstar employee host GTA Online sessions (and if need be, have their colleagues join in the session) if there's a cheater that gets caught, the employee can simply switch the plug on them. Simple, right? They anyways have millions of dollars, why can't they dedicate that to hiring more- Oh. True.
They care more about the money than our security.
For the most part, I do blame Rockstar, not because they have no control over the never ending demand over mod menus, but because Rockstar keeps slacking until the very last moment something actually needs to be done. They keep slacking bad. They basically ALLOWED mod developers to gain an advantage over Rockstar, and Rockstar just sat back and kept sniffing the green they keep making off Shark Cards and GTA plus on a daily basis.
The moment GTA Online gets boycotted and they simply can no longer make a single cent from GTA Online, regardless if its from PC, PS4, PS5, or Xbox One / Series X|S, that might motivate Rockstar into actually putting whatever millions of dollars they have left into good use of either a proper anti-cheat, or simply Rockstar hosted sessions.
Until that day comes though, Rockstar will let themselves keep losing, because they care more about the money they're still making from GTA Online to this day and beyond.

Whatever happened to having skill in a video game? Imagine hacking to win and get stuff in the game that YOU DIDN'T EVEN EARN. And if anything "the grind" is the most fun part of the game because then you actually EARNED WHAT YOU GOT out of the game.
I want modders to devastate the online component of GTA VI to the point c**kstar will either abandon it or do significant changes, just to send a message.
They make billions a year don't they? How can dedicated servers be "cost prohibitive"?
Rockstar have completely lost their own game on pc. Since the update, EVERY day has been a hacker in the new X2 mode, ....that's every game, every hour ALL day long for WEEKS, never letting up, no 'ban waves', NOTHING from Rockstar. Rockstar let a small leak become gushing crater. The writing was on the wall when rockstar introduced HSW on consoles and all the rest of console exclusives leaving pc gamers scratching their heads, i mean, it's not just rockstars game that has been taken over, us players are suffering too, quite sad that a multi billion dollar game is now dictated by a few mindless morons.
Consoles have their issues with godmode from time to time. But it goes away fairly quickly.
if the PC version is red there are modders. I think the PC version would never have anti cheating. I'm a PC modder, I use mod menus. rockstar games never deletes the godmode.
The literal only way to make any progress in GTA Online without devoting 80% of your life to it is to mod. It is always morally justified to hack video games for free in-game currency. Especially if the game is over a decade old. *cough cough* Black Ops 3 *cough cough*

Of course it has cheaters. The ones like me just don't want to spend real money to get anywhere in online.
But cheaters who make the game hell for everyone else are scum of the earth and deserve to lose their entire account.
Single player will only be in GTA 6, they are not gonna release online version yet
