    Thank you for doing a flipthrough of this book! I almost regret holding out on buying it in hopes of an english release :'D
    It'd be nice to see one of the monochrome girl patterns done in fabric that makes the construction easier to see. I didn't even realize the sailor uniform wasn't just a white dress until rewatching...

      You are so welcome I’m glad that this was helpful for you! I can totally do one of the dresses or maybe both 🤔
      I honestly think they will release an English copy sooner rather than later. So here’s hoping 🤞🏾

      Creation Odyssey yayyy 💕 also my local toy store who is a gsc partner told us they will release an english version of this! They actually discouraged us when this jp ver came out (told us to wait for eng ver cos there was crazy demand for it)!

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Toni Bellen yep GSC had a poll up on their website and I think the demand was over 80% so I figured they would do it, but you never know. I just can’t say anything definitively. If we hear/see anything at Wonder Festival at the end of the month, it will hopefully come out later this year. I won’t get it though, but I know TONS of people will appreciate it!

      Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! I just came across an article on My figure collection and about a month ago GSC had a poll up to see if people would buy the book in English so I think it will definitely be released in English in the future.

    I like the variety of patterns they offer, wish I knew more about sewing.

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They do have a variety and now there are I think two other books available. Learning to see just takes time (no special talent needed) I would suggest starting off with simple patterns like tote bags, pajama pants, t-shirts if you’re learning on your own from home.

    The yukata or kimono in page 9 I think seems fun to do! I'd like to see you do something like that, or maybe the hat and that cute black lolita dress 💜

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another vote for the Lolita dress!! The Kimono does seem fun but I’d have to find fabric for it..... 🤔🤔. I’m definitely doing the hat!

      @@CreationOdyssey Yay I'm so excited for the hat!! Will you make a video for it? I'm so tempted to follow it to make my Ouma figure a hat based off Saihara

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There will be a video for the hat! Not until after I get the extra head wig pieces though.... doing something special with my Emily doll 🙊🤫🤫

    I was hesitant to preorder the book, then ended up really regretting not getting it. Thankfully I just snagged a copy off AmiAmi, I'm super excited to start making clothing for my customs

      +Adalexen The Time Traveling Unicorn yay glad you got one! I’m not really going to be using the book more or less got it for sizing reference but from my understanding the patterns are too small, so be prepared to adjust the sizing.

      For sure!! I might modify it a bit, but I will definitely work with the fur 😉👍🏾

    I understand you do not speak or read Japanese, but the patterns say cut line and sew line and it does have descriptions of what the tools are and what steps to take. It’s a bit unfair to criticize a book for being published in Japanese when that is where the company is based. I suggest using google translate to take photos and translate parts if you have a hard time understanding.

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh hey pretty sure I said this was a great book and that was the only thing I even said “negatively” about it if you can even call that negative. I mean this video is 2 years old so….
      Google translate while it’s gotten better at this time was frustrating to use and was well known for misinterpreting. I can take it to my book right now and get three different wordings on one description. So yes for someone who is a complete beginner at sewing using google translate while trying to learn a new skill depending on the person could be difficult (all people learn differently)
      GSC never publishing the book in English was not just my own criticism but plenty of people when the book was released at the time by the way.

    my comment kinda late cause i only get into nendoroids this past few weeks. i might suggest u use google lense app and auto translate the words in the book on the spot. maybe it helps in the future books u might buy. bye gudluck

    • @CreationOdyssey
      @CreationOdyssey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay so you’re new I kinda get the “need” to feel like you should comment BUT
      1) This video is is ridiculously old
      2) I literally said that I MYSELF would have and do have zero issue with the book but a beginner might find it hard to use
      3) lastly google translate sucks
      What I suggest to you is maybe check out the Obitsu 11 clothing books which are laid out way better and even a beginner sewer can navigate WITHOUT google translate.
