I don't know if it's true, but I was told, that if you keep the water moving, mosquitos can't/won't lay eggs there, so maybe no issue there, but venomous snakes?😱 Woo!😳 I'm with you, I'd just skip that for sure!

I know what you mean!😂😬 Same here! But im in the middle of the Keys on Big Pine Key. These - 🦂🕷🦎🐊🦌🦝🐍plus many more creatures are everywhere! and its too easy to make a nice home for them without meaning to! Here on Big Pine we have Key Deer that eat everything you plant. So we stuck with Desert roses, cacti, and succulents around the house, then I have a very large dog kennel (under a humongous sea- grape tree, that I've turned into a "greenhouse" so those plants cant get eaten by deer 😉 plus its so hot and humid that I mainy stick with orchids and tropical plants. Im currently obsessing over getting a vanilla orchid🥰

Ruby Arias that’s exactly what’s missing are trees! And bigger rocks lol but I do have a unground 150 gal pond below but the stream I made is exactly like Laura’s just smaller rocks n not as a dramatic drop from each tier. I think hers is scaled perfectly and I may just add trees n bulk the rocks up thank you for the comment may make the job a lot easier the more I think about it

This would be awesome in my backyard. My daughter just had a baby boy and along with her daughter a water feature would be a fun thing for both my grandkids! 🌺

My husband loves loves water feature - the sound of running water in the garden is a must for us. We have such rocky soil (more like boulders than rocks) that adding a deep enough pool for fish is a problem without machines. This seems much more low maintenance than a koi pond.

Can't wait to see Russell & Cheddar checking out the new water feature and grabbing a quick drink....like little lions in the wild!😉 Beautiful new addition!!!

Laura is so beautiful, but I would love to see it at night too with the lights on. Also, maybe a planter, a plant or something to the left side would make it feel more complete....

I’m super excited about the “Pumpkin Fountain” my mind is wondering does that mean near where you planted the pumpkins or a pumpkin shaped fountain, either way I know 100% it will be amazing. Your channel is such a blessing.

OMG, I grew up next to a potters stream, all my life I have wanted to live buy a stream again it brought me so much peace. I bought land, built a house but it doesn't have a stream. Now someday it will, I am obsessed as this is exactly what I want. I am at the edge of the woods and woods in every direction. I'm going to have one. 💦 Thanks for the inspiration.

This has completely inspired me to really DIY my landscape (and my parent’s landscape)! Thank you so much for this video. It was incredibly inspiring and those gentlemen were very knowledgeable in explaining the process. Definitely subscribing to them. Thank you!

Perfectly placed. This will be such a relaxing place to sit and read during your hot summers! You’ll need to add a nearby bench.

I love everything about this! I find water sounds so soothing. I’m wondering about the pump and lights....did you have to run electrical over to the area? Or was it already there? Could one just run an extension cord to it and just cover the cord with a layer of dirt?

We have some natural boulders in our backyard in the center of the garden. We would love to add something like this to make a natural pondless water feature! All they would have to do is add more boulders! Love it!!!

Hope I win the free waterfall kit! If not, I'll be buying this kit anyway, but I won't be using all the parts (not the spillway.) I have my own idea using a Mexican Talavera pot (the water will spill out to start the waterfall.) and terracotta colored flat sandstone stacked for the rock. Should look awesome along with the rest of my large Talavera pottery collection. I just have to figure out what full sun annuals to plant in the pottery. *Can't wait for spring!*
