This is light years faster than the traditional 6V-92!!!! It is as if when Cummins made these engines, it corrected all of the flaws of the 6V-92. The only good thing about a 6V-92 is the engine sound. It is very melodic. But they are terrible on hills and they are very dirty engines
LOL those passengers waiting at the bus stop near the end were so frustrated! Glad to see such a great bus in good hands! Plus, your Ex-CATA #80 brings back so many childhood memories of the C40LFs we had here in NYC. Thanks for sharing all this content & keep hauling down the roads!
@@csouth28 Another perfectly fine bus that could be sent over seas to someone in Camaroon or Armenia or maybe even Bolivia. You know I have been watching a lot of those Deadliest Road documentaries and I was just thinking about all the buses that have been retired and scrapped over a period of 20 years could have went to every poor third world country. NJT RTS #1557 was nowhere near the end of it's useful life
People really seem to forget how awesome and durable the RTS buses were.this is probably one of if not the fastest RTS buses ive seen on youtube. Once they get going they are as quick as quick as any bus out there they really are deceptively quick. In my opinion the RTS buses age very well and they are like tanks in the winter. Sadly in my state of MA they retired them all three years ago so its always good to see videos like this of these beasts. I wish i had a CDL man to drive a bus lucky you and man this rts was moooooving and this bus sounds like it could be in revenue service in my opinion. Thumbs up to this vid for sure
I've said it millions of times. You know how many people would die for a bus like this in other countries where they are still using dilapidated vehicles? If only anyone knew.
@@milestone_achiever4634 true and looking at these new hybrids those things break down a hell of a lot more than these good ole rts buses those things seemed to last a whole lot longer then nabi buses and others why Is that and oh I believe it a lot of other countries would love these beast rts buses hell I get they have to retire buses at some point but I would keep that bus as much as possible parts cost money from that I'm assuming and the neoplan buses aren't too shabby either
Oh snap I didn’t know you had a CDL man. I have to ride on that bus again. It’s a classic I love that winding sound when they make a sharp turn @ 10:40.
How fast were you going? This look like you was catching by some speed @ 10:38 you hit the slight left to complete the right, today's drivers dont do that and I hate it!
I REALLY hope you had fun!
J B 4865 absolutely
Back again to remind you, yes I had fun lmao
csouth28 did you have fun?

Thank You!
looking back at this video 3 years later 1:08 will always be my favorite part pulling it hard asl that was fun 🔥
Anytime I think about NJ transit I come back to this vid. Atlantic City misses these buses because those Nabis are really pissing me off lmao.
