First of all thank you for engaging needed this video. Did uou straight pipe it after the x pipe. 1.Eliminate resonator - Add X pipe 2. Eliminate muffler 3. Straight pipe all the way back Is this how it goes?
I liked it a lot when I had the car. It did drone pretty bad. I always had music to clear it out or usually my passengers didn’t mind. If you’re looking for a similar sound without the crazy drone. Jus get rid the resonator and replace with xpipe. Keep stock muffler. Will sound pretty close but less loud but little to no drone.
Is this the regular 3.0 ? Stick shift? I had a 3.0 engine before and a muffler delete had a nice sound. I have the 4matic 3.0and wantro do something similar. Just dont know if it will sound right.
Yeah the C300 is 3.0L and the C350 is 3.5L. Automatic. On my C300 I went with a muffler delete and x-pipe in place of resonators. A lot of people go with this inexpensive setup on these cars. It does drone quite a bit but I’m sure you should be able to handle it after having a muffler delete on your previous car. It did bring out a nice sound out to bring the car alive!
You will be fine unless you live in California lol. The police here in Georgia aren’t really strict on exhausts. Just don’t drive like a d*ck around cops and you will be fine. If you’re worried about it being too loud try a resonator delete with the x pipe replacement first. Then if you need more loud, you can remove the muffler after. :)
Hey so did you delete the secondary cats too? I alr got a res and muffler delete and thinking about removing the 2 things in front of the x pipe. Are those resenators or cats? Love the sound
the mufflers are already are on the stock exhaust system as a whole. If you cut the mufflers you can either use clamps or just have “straight pipes” welded on for a muffler delete
JR Garage has this exact setup on there w203 manual c class.
Ya that’s what I’ve seen
Sounds really nice, where did you get the x pipe or what’s the diameter?
magnaflow x pipe part #10790 and 2.25
@@Icy.mk5 thanks I appreciate it

X pipe in place of resonators and straight pipes in rear muffler section
Do you know what size pipes were used for the muffler deletes 2.25?
Yessir 2.25
Rear muffler only or both delete ?
How do you like it? Does it don’t a lot? I want to do this but I also don’t want a really noisy car on the high way when I’m driving

@@Icy.mk5 thanks a lot man for the quick response! Your input definitely changed my mind on it and will just replace the resonators with an x-pipe.

Check out my other video with just a muffler delete!
What year is this w204? I have a 2008 and was hoping it would sound the same I just bought the x pipe
Well as I know ur c300 has m272 engine, if it was newer it would have m276, but I guess they sound the same
This c300 was a 2011
Did you just cut out the two rear mufflers ?
This was a muffler delete and x pipe in place of stock resonator!
Any traffic violations of the sort? I’ve got a 2011 too and I’m worried it’s too loud and a disturbance lol

@@Icy.mk5 Thats what I was thinking ye, X-pipe first then re-evaluate after. Awesome thank you man :)

yes i did remove the secondary cats, however this video is just a muffler delete and xpipe. Deleting the 2nd cats will also throw a code.
@@Icy.mk5 how does it sound with secondary’s removed?
Does anyone know if the mufflers on the c300 are welded on or held on by exhaust clamps?

@@Icy.mk5 thanks for the info but I just ended up trading in my c300 for a 2015 q50 like 5 months ago
@@Macho_USI good upgrade, i upgraded to a 440i i love them b58
Hey! What year is your C300?
2011 brother
nice sound , but does it drone too much does it bother you in highway ?
Honestly, it does drone but it isn’t bad. I gotten used to it. And I be playing loud music in the car anyways!
What was the price for this?
Muffler delete and x-pipe setup cost me $280
sounds like a vq..
hahah yeah I been told. It was a nice first car tho, loud and slow!
@@Icy.mk5 to be fair they are amazing cars, i just picked up a c350 as my first car 2 months ago
