If you’ve not got an angle grinder, most good hardware shops will stock drill attachments you can use for sharpening large blades. If you don’t have a vice then a strong door hinge will do.
Pull the cord until it's starting to get hard to pull. That way the engine is in the power stroke which means both valves are closed and you wont have any fuel enter the cylinder. If you don't do that there is the risk of hydrolock which can fissure the engine block.
NOTICE: new lawn mower blades are NOT sharp it is against the law to sell sharp blades, hoes, or any tool that you can cut yourself with in a store! You need to sharpen them BEFORE fitst use. The stores do not tell you this.
Great advice for balancing the blade, thats what most people forget
Removing the spark plug really Surely!! Surely taking the HD lead off will do. Not that I do either
Nice another handy video Josh Thanks again

I thought that was a home-made blade.
Then i got a second look.
Odd shape❤
I use a water stone,it prevents the blade getting hot while sharpening.
Was it a grinding disc or flappy sanding disc?
Looks like a flappy to me 🤔
One man went to mow...
Wow he took so much material from the blade with the angle grinder. Never use an angle grinder. Just use a plain old file...
Well he says sharpen in under 2 minutes. 😂
Aren’t you supposed to drain the fuel and oil before tipping the mower?
If you tip the mower with the air filter staying at the top, you won’t need to.

What if is not balanced?
