Depending on how bad it is (cutting might also be hard on your thumb) maybe you could still create some fabric collages using glue? Add a couple of decorative stitches if you're able, or simply glue on embellishments using an appropriate glue depending on whether they're fabric (ribbon, patches, applique) or plastic/metal (sequins, beads and so on).
Howdy, Daniela! Thank you for sharing your collab for '23. Love your first page. I think the crocheted flowers and the pop of color are my fav parts. Blessings & Bubbles...oooOOO
Hello Daniela, I have been watching your videos for awhile now and just enjoy them sooo much. I am doing and sooo excited about stitch we me in 2023 !! Thank you for all your wonderful ideas !!
Didn’t want to go and buy index cards- trying to use what I have. Came across some small note cards that were popular a few years ago. Had excitedly 12 different ones. Plan to cut them down to the size of the smallest card - this way there will be something pretty on both sides. I’ll figure out the binding the end
Yours turned out so pretty. I'm glad to have some time to think about what I want to do. Another challenge I'm doing is every day in January. This one seems much more relaxed! Love it! Thanks, Daniela! ❤
In addition to the "ends" bins at the fabric store, I was happy to find out that they'd cut fairly small pieces of fabric - I think 10 cm was the smallest? So pieces of fabric, esp if already on sale, can be bought for just a couple of dollars, and would give you enough material for multiple projects (or to share?) I also picked up some fabric items at the thrift store recently. Depending on prices at your store, this can be pricier and leave you with a lot more wasted material! But pillowcases and placemats are a decent price for the size (sheets, tablecloths, curtains, shawls are other good options but obviously bigger and cost more). I got a couple of things that can easily be cut apart, like her flowers. And I'm thinking I can use the open end of the pillowcases to cut scraps from, and hopefully, I can turn the closed ends into fabric gift bags!

Do you have any suggestions where to get random fabric?
I'm working on a video for that topic! Stay tuned. 😊
