- Former Chief Minister of Nagaland, SC Jamir clarifies on his visit to Delhi. During an exclusive interview with NLTV, the four time Chief Minister of Nagaland stated that he is unattached to any organisation or party or group. He also stated that his invitation to Delhi by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah was for the consultation in connection with the Naga issue.
During the interview he informed NLTV that during the meeting he urged Amit Shah to implement Naga resolutions at the earliest. He also inquired as to why the Government of India keeps pending the implementation of the resolutions.
SC Jamir also stated that the Naga issue covers all sections of the Naga people and is not only concerned to the underground groups. The former Chief Minister of Nagaland also stated that he has no jealousy or ill will against any group including NSCN (IM) and that the group misunderstood the purpose of their fight

Hope so that issue of nagaland be solved soon. I'm from tripura. We the tripuri are also having various issue on our state where the native people were treated like foreigner or refugees and no developmental scheme were initiated on the area of the native tripurasa area. Everyday 100s of bangladeshi migrate to tripura and is over populated by bangladeshi Bengali, as there is no proper border and its security is poorly look after.

This is clearly the most articulate statements on the discourse of Naga political issues from one of the most articulate leader of Nagaland.
It is rather unsettling on the part of any political party or NSCN X Y Z to wiggle and squirm now at the final juncture of solution on the issue of Flag or Constitution, be it the contents of Agreed position or Framework agreement which they have appended and consented to. Knowing deliberately what the contents are. Unless they want to further delay the much anticipated solution or have something authentic reason up their sleeves.

Dr. Jamir’s vision of Nagaland will always be a decade ahead for the Nagas. His present deliberations on Naga issue will be realised by the Nagas only after a decade. Its time we accept the truth

I think that if nagalim breaks away from india, any 1 of the 6 outcomes would be possible-
1. It will become like myanmar where there is military rule.
2. It could go in the hands of China.
3. It could get in a conflict with Myanmar (bcoz nscnim claims that some parts of west myanmar belongs to nagalim).
5. It could end up like vietnam-war (where US comes to help nagalim from Chinese attacks but us ends up causing too much destruction , loss of lives) and then loses.
6. Nagalim could end up being sanctioned by US /UN for driving out non-locals.
So do you believe you can survive? Being land locked?

The NSCN (I-M) on Monday expressed unhappiness over the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India for “hobnobbing” and seeking guidance from former Nagaland chief minister SC Jamir who was “one of the architects of the 16 Point Agreement which is the root of the never ending Naga political problem.”

The 16 Point Agreement which was rejected and condemned by the Naga people years ago can never be brought back as the basis for the Naga political solution, NSCN (I-M) stated in a release.
The Nagas have suffered much because of the depths of cruelty and treachery in the hands of SC Jamir, it stated. “As uttered by SC Jamir, he is scheming with the Centre to destroy the very foundation of the Naga political identity that the Naga people have shed blood, sweat and tears over the decades. Needless to say, Jamir has a penchant for creating bloodshed as testified by the pages of Naga history. Naturally, the peace process under ceasefire is something anathema to him,” it mentioned.
When the 16 Point Agreement was signed and the state of Nagaland was created, the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru sensed something missing and made a statement in the Lok Sabha to express his desire to meet AZ Phizo in London, it stated.
There was immediate panic reaction from SC Jamir, the then Parliamentary Secretary of MHA and wrote to Shilu Ao, the first Nagaland chief minister, dated March 22, 1963, it stated. His letter read, “Uncle Shilu, what is that the Prime Minister is talking about of meeting Phizo, a terrorist? If his meeting with Phizo becomes a reality, then I will come back home packing my bedding.”

He also mentioned that he is capable of more troubles than the hostiles could do, and was so determined that the 16 Point Agreement should not be touched, it stated.
It further stated that ultimately, Shilu Ao and colleagues in Nagaland fell in line with Jamir’s threatening letter as they rose against the proposal of Nehru’s meeting with Phizo. What followed was that peace could not prevail in Nagaland and many precious lives were lost, it added.
This same SC Jamir is still alive repeating the same thing he loved most, to defend the 16 Point Agreement, it stated. “Why is the Government of India not willing to learn from history, and giving space to Jamir to block a genuine, honorable and lasting solution to the Naga political issue?” NSCN (I-M) questioned.

I think it's because NSCN IM played a major role....like NSCN K had it emergence after some leaders splited from NSCN IM likewise people who want to become leaders splited from their old group and formed different groups.
