Bethesda has actually been making progress with their camp items and prefabs. A lot of the new items have their own foundations now. To avoid floating items.
The BoS Watchtower works really well without additional foundation. Small scale with 3 floors, easy to replace after location change, but still room to fit everything necessary inside.
on Xbox - place foundation normally so they snap together, select one foundation with A, then hold A, use RB/LB to lift/lower down foundation without moving it a bit. This way it always perfect, and you don't need to align foundations. Getting foundation with perfect 1/2 wall height - build wall with height of 1.5 wall (1/2+1 - half wall should be at the bottom) on foundation you want to lift and other next to it - so they can be connected with roof, do it. Remove 1/2 wall from foundation you want to lift, select this foundation and snap it to the 'hanging' wall.
Prime from the stream the other day. This helps a ton for some other places I wanted to work with this prefab. So far my Sutton tractor is doing nicely though
I put mine on a really big incline but I stacked foundations to make the entire area level . I make the stairs to the prefab transition into the concrete stairs I snapped into the foundations to make a nice clean look.
Does this work with the new Pioneer Scout Tent and Vintage Caravan from the current season? I have both plus the older Backwoods Bungalow and I always get a message that I can't place them because they're intersecting an existing structure.
this works best with prefabs that dont have their own foundations, for example this trick dont play well with the watch tower, or the firehouse prefab. cause they have those derpy arounded corner cement bases. works great with both the trailer and destroyed trailer prefabs tho.
I found a place I want to build the new prefab on but there are trees there. Would a foundation "knock out" the trees so they don't end up poking through my house?
I wonder if this will work with where I got my camp setup, I built at the top of the mountain but couldn't get the prefab to play with the foundation so I kinda half-assed placed it under it.
Someone wanna talk with me about how the top floors can't be built in if the C.A.M.P. is placed on ground level. And if you put the C.A.M.P. in a tree you have to worry about shitty branches from trees clipping into your building? I waited 48+ hours after they charged me for Fallout 1st to get my Atoms, to finally buy the prefab, attempt to build and immediately contact them for a refund. Surprisingly within 20 minutes they did in fact give me a full refund on the prefab with no other questions, concerns, replies needed or anything. I really want this piece. I have such grand plans for it. Sadly I can't do that.
I requested a refund as well. It's a chore finding a flat-ish enough location, with no trees. All the prime real estate at the Whitesprings is always taken, and I prefer a scenic woodsy camp anyway. Which as you mentioned, made the tree issue come up. Plus, my side porch stairs never sunk into the ground so they weren't easy to run up. 😢 Great looking prefab, at an awesome atom cost, but it just didn't work out.

What they really need to do is get rid of the whole restrictions on placing items and prefabs close to each other or whatever because then people can simply just build whatever their mind can think of. Mean they would easily have a player base of basicly only base builders. Also they should really just put up all it atomic shop items in the store ever released so people can buy what they want and not have to wait for these so called sales and other crap to come around and God forbid if your not online that week and miss a sale cuz you won't see it for another 6 months or some crap. Just keep them all posted to the store so people don't have to live on the game 24/7 for these fake sales or least make it a very slim possibility to earn said plans or prefabs from just playing the game also.

I got it to work on PC, but while it cannot be too hilly, it also cannot be too flat. It needs a little bit of an angle or rough ground to work
