Very cool! I would like you to give us a summary with your first impressions, what could be done differently and ETC... We are trying to implement a similar low cost approach for the F5J competition.
We used altitude limiters set at 150m/30-seconds. The other rules were essentially F3RES with 6-minute flights in a 9-minute window. Relaunches were allowed but motor restarts were not. Several people commented that 100m would be closer to the challenges we've had with F3RES. There had been discussion about allowing foam 2m airplanes (Radians, etc), which were allowed during this event but I'm not sure if they're going to be in the final rules.
