Your rc model display background is truly stunning. Super clean display. Would love to see a walk around video of the cars on display.

I've heard good things about Xray cars and locals at Pheonix raceway seem to love them too. I've never seen one close up before, thanks for the video. One day I'm going to have to get one. For now I've built a couple of 3Racing touring cars, Saukura Advance & Cero-Sport, and can see similarities between the two brands. Try my luck with them next Sunday at Great Hobbies warehouse store out door track. 😎

I just picked up that car with its twin (2020 models) with loads of spares.
That one is going to be raced by my son in 21.5 class and the other on will be run by my daughter in vta class-
    Since I run 2 trf 420’s😜

Really nice take on a simple review! Glad to see this as I ponder looking for a used t4 to get a start in TC. Thanks for sharing!

The carbon chassis are for outdoor and alloy for indoor carpet racing :)

The current trend in TC is equal length belts with mid motors for rotation. The aero on the bodies really works, and its a useful tuning aid :D

Hi Glenn, I love old and the new touring cars I just can't help myself lol. I've recently bought an ARC R11 and I am just waiting for an ARC R12 to be dropped off later on tonight 😁 both are very similar to the xray T4, and come with both carbon and aluminium chassis.
I also have the tamiya ta08 pro and your right it's a very low center of gravity car 👍👍

Hi Glen. I love your videos. But in some cases I think you could make a more satisfying video for you and the viewers if you studied the car a little before showing it. For example, XRay generally makes yearly tweaks to their cars and they have a really good description of what's changed each year on their web site. Also, you would be able to describe the fact that XRay offers this car with several different chassis options (material and design) based on the surface on which it will be run. Keep up the good work!

I can tell u that Glenn is a well of knowledge when it comes to older card and very rare 1 of a kind cars. And always shares all of his knowledge and what he don't know he will go find and share the info on the cars. But this wasn't his car and came in not really unexpected but where he didn't have much time before having to send the car back to its owner. He was just showcasing what it is and what he was told about the car. But u can go on his 1st and main channel Tamiya Legends and watch countless videos of cars and get the full scope of each car and kit that he showcases on each video. So dont be put off by this 1 video. I know it's not hard to get things out of context. People do it all the time on those short videos like that TikTok mess. And this wasn't a bash comment to u. This was really giving u info and maybe if u havent seen his other channel u won't be disappointed. So go check it out👍

Very nice chassis. I've never tried an actual RC touring Car. Heck, I only have a few on-road cars.

I had an XRay T1 FK'05 years ago and it was awesome. The biggest problem with Xray chassis' now is they are hideously expensive and so are the spares. I'm not a fan of the modern touring car bodyshells, but I can see why they're used. As for the TA08, the biggest issue is they are weak at the rear end around the bulkheads, so many peopl have broken them in very light knocks. Oh, and spares for the TA08 in the UK are hard to come by. Awesome video anyway!!

Looks like T4'20 , but it has an aftermarket upper deck as the OEM upper decks have always been symmetrical. Aluminum chassis are used on high traction carpet tracks as they are stiffer and get the weight down lower. Carbon chassis are still used on asphalt tracks.

I have a T4 2020 almost like that, it's beautiful (carbon chassis and alu flex chassis). It's the last one with orange bits by default, the next models (T4 '21 and then X4 '22, '23, '24) are black. May I suggest you to check the X4 2024 (just released), it's a work of art 🤩 Thanks for sharing 🤝

Thats a T4 2020. Mid motor, orange shocks, no bumper brace, option top deck, unsure what manufacturer. Solid lower chassis with option to run long stock or t4 19 short arms. Wide rear T brace.

These bodies aren't bad looking per-se. The problem is that the liveries are either one plain color or mismatched two-tone with oversized hobby stickers or flame-like patterns, which don't look very good on touring cars in my opinion. I prefer more elaborate designs and smaller decals that make the cars look similar to real life racing cars.

  • @hondofourfivetwo9347
    @hondofourfivetwo9347 ปีที่แล้ว

The current trend of TC bodies love it or hate it are kinda a necessary evil while I love the realistic and selection of TC bodies from the beginning and golden era of TC racing I hated the the rows upon rows of Dodge Stratus that appeared during the late 90’s/early 2000’s it just got boring after a while. For those who don’t like the current generic TC bodies there’s always USGT & VTA. Personally I’ve moved from regular TC to USGT & VTA because I love the looks of the realistic cars and prefer dealing with a spec tire and motor set and just focusing on suspension setup and driving
